Wootton House is a superb country house on a 1,000 acre estate on the edge of the unspoiled hamlet of Butleigh Wootton, on the Somerset levels. This striking house can sleep sixteen people in eight bedrooms, sharing six bath/shower rooms, four doubles; two with four poster beds and four twins. Comfortable, elegant and well loved, there are two reception rooms; a sitting room with a marble fireplace and a lovely drawing room with an open fire and French windows to the front garden. Overlooking the rear garden is a large formal dining room and there's a huge and well equipped kitchen. The Abbot’s Room, has table tennis, a children's snooker table, darts, TV and a PlayStation 2 ensuring that there's always plenty to do. Outside is a large mature garden with a croquet lawn, hard tennis court and climbing frames, slides and swings for the children. Accessed through a converted potting shed, you will find a changing room with benches, a shower room, a loo and a drinks fridge. Walk through into a glasshouse with comfy seating and a bar area, from here you can access the natural swim pool. With so much to see and do, Wootton House is sure to be a real hit with all the family. Note: Check in time 4pm.
