Loved staying in the cabin in the woods, so peaceful. Everything was great. The first night there was a pretty rough storm came through. We built puzzles that were provided there.

Nice little getaway

Enjoyed everything and made use of both the fire pit and bbq. The only thing was reception of the TV, constant buffer but brought the IPad so I easily dialed in to Hulu and Netflix, so we caught some football yesterday by the fire. Overall extremely relaxing which is what we wanted.

Cozy place with a lot to do around it!

This was a great property me! I was always on the go this trip but when I did get to sit back in the cabin it was the perfect spot for a little piece and quiet! It was nice, clean and the surrounding area had a ton of places to check out and explore. The owner was very nice, gave good detailed information regarding the check in/out process, instructions on how to get there and recommended things to do. I could definitely see myself renting it again next time I'm in the area

Read Before You Book

The cabin was overall okay, I would not book again though. The nightly price was decent for what you are getting however once all the fees and insurance charges are added the value drops tremendously. For example, we were charged over $150 in fees. Cleaning fees, extra insurance for the property, etc. There are ZERO grilling tools. You wouldn't want to use the grill anyway as it has mold everywhere in the inside. The lighting is HORRIBLE in the cabin. You cannot see anything because for some reason they didn't wire up can lights. It does have an outdoor motion garage light hanging above the bed, yeah.... You aren't allowed to put your trash in the trash can that's on the property rather you drive it to the Zipline place where they have huge trash dumpsters overflowing with trash, trash all over the ground, and smelling horrid. Again, the location was nice. The owner was on top of communication. The cabin was not nasty dirty (there were cobwebs everywhere and mold growing on the ceiling). The fees that are charged for this place are just ridiculous. For those reasons, I'd recommend staying elsewhere.

We were very pleased with the cabin. Everything was clean and nice. Stayed 4 days and never saw a bug. Would definitely rent again. Loved the area.

Not as expected

To start off the directions to the cabin were not clear. Upon arrival we entered the code and stepped inside the cabin to a not so clean space. There was a roach in the shower a silverfish on the bed which appeared that the linens hadn’t been cleaned. The floors were dirty and and the couch worn out and uncomfortable. We were unable to connect to the wifi and after several attempts we gave up. The deadbolt would not lock back and at first I was advised it would be ok to just leave our belongings inside nobody would mess with it and then given the key code for the lockbox with a door key. We were so unhappy with the cabin we left a day early just so we could be able to get to our home to be able to relax in comfort and a clean room. I’m usually not one to complain but I have never been so disappointed with a rental property in my life.

Had a fantastic stay at this lovely little cabin for our anniversary. Great hikes and scenery around the area. Spent plenty of time just relaxing at and around the cabin and having fires. Very quiet and peaceful. Definitely recommend!

A little cabin time at the Red River Gorge

We enjoyed being outside of this little cabin. The outside design is cute. The inside for us was to dark. We had issues with the lockbox and couldn’t get the tv to receive any Signal. Over all we need enjoy our stay. John and Bambi B

Perfect quiet cabin

The cabin has everything you need. It’s surrounded by woods. There is a cabin directly behind it and you can see another cabin through the trees as well. Very close to the zip line office which was fantastic. General stores are a close drive away. Natural Bridge is a few minute drive away. Stacy was fantastic to communicate with. We really enjoyed sitting around the camp fire yelling out Marco or pollo to friends in neighboring cabins that we could not see. We will stay here again.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because it is in the center of the resort. We still have access to the majestic views, but with little ones, we wanted to stay away from the cliffs. We have a nice secluded area where we own 11 cabins. A big cabin that sleeps 8 VRBO #501656 and our couples cabin that sleeps 2. Along with 7 cabins at the front of the resort.
We love that we have our own private lake for fishing, and access to 4 other lakes within a 5 minute walk. We hike and run this area. The hills are challenging and the experience unforgettable.
Cliffview resort is also home to the Zipline. Make your reservations in advance.
