About this property

Charming cottage in the French countryside

We offer to you a charming cottage nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Lomagne, with 360 degree fantastic views, in the "Tuscany of France". The house and pool are completely private.
Our house is comfortable with rustic charm. Relax by the heated pool, or on the front terrace surrounded by fragrant gardens filled with lavender and sage.
The house is spacious with a two living rooms, large eat in kitchen, and three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, (one with shower, one with tub, and master bedroom with both shower and bathtub). The house features original tiles and other charming original features. There are also many areas outside for al fresco dining, so you can take advantage of the shade or sun at all times of the day.
There is also a nice sized pool and terrace with a view to the surrounding countryside, and a ping pong table to keep you fit!
We are in the beautiful countryside, but only a short drive to two market towns with all essentials as well as weekly open air markets. There are loads of local cultural events, festivals, concerts, etc all summer long!
Toulouse, Montauban, Moissac, Albi, Bordeaux, Carcasonne, Pyrenees and Canal du Midi' are daytrips.

A wonderful property filled with character. Amazing views. Spotlessly clean. The photos don’t do justice to the views - it’s truly wonderful. A fabulous property.

Absolutely fabulous house..everything and more than is described in listing. I have rented many houses in this region and can honestly say above all this is the best ! Ticks all the boxes for a group vacation and the host Jan is very quick to answer and handle any requests . Her house manager Veronique is also a joy ! Can’t wait to return !!!

Peaceful farm cottage

Lovely original French farmhouse in a quiet rural part of France. House was exceptionally well equipped and larger than the photos indicate. Especially liked the large, well cared for pool and the various outside seating areas that allowed for lots of outdoor meals. Nearby town, only 15mins drive has some nice local shops for croissants etc. if we can, we would like to go back one day

We have probably hired more than 30 gites and houses over the years in France, and this was right up there. No matter which window you look out of, you're greeted by gorgeous and unspoilt farmland wrapping 360 degrees around this lovely, creakily characterful old house. It's completely private and the silence is perfect. We stayed in late June, when the termperatures hit 42C for a couple of days, with the result we stayed immobile by the fabulous pool for most of the time. Jan was helpful and responsive to our dumb questions. The local town was very sleepy but has a useful Carrefour, a petrol station and a boulanger. Larger towns are 15-30 mins away. So if your idea of bliss is to descend on a lovely old house, with a pile of books and a case of wine, this is for you.

Fantastic

Extremely quiet, private, rural, rustic and very well equipped. Plenty places to sit, sleep or eat in the sun or in the shade. Pool is fabulous. Well equipped kitchen. 10 minutes drive to Lavit or Beaumont for supermarket, boulangerie, weekly market, etc. Large hypermarket at Castelsarrasin (30 minutes). Many lovely villages within 30 minutes drive. Auvillar is worth a visit. Very nice walk along the canal and over the aqueduct at Moissac. Communication with the owner was perfect with excellent driving directions and details regarding access. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a very successful holiday. Very flexible and accommodating. Overall, a wonderful week at this gite.
