Family stay by the beach with beautiful garden- La Brée les bains, Oléron island

An exceptional situation at the end of Oléron island, in the lovely village of La Brée les bains, for this nice sixties villa, very quiet in a wooded park (2.500 m² or 27.000 ft²) and very close (just cross a little street) from an almost deserted beach, the right one for children and fishing at low tide...or surfing at high tide !

You don't need a car here. You can do almost everything on foot and bikes (some are free at the house), to discover the coast, little towns and harbours on the island and in the vicinity. During summer, you can go by boat to the close islands : Ré and Aix and also to Fort Boyard and La Rochelle. You can even come by plane at La Rochelle airport and take a boat to St Denis, a little harbour at 3km from the house.

- Towels can be provided on request at an additional cost of 50 euros per stay
- Optional cleaning: 80 euros (Otherwise do the cleaning yourself).

Tout le charme d'Oléron à disposition

Propriétaires très sympathiques. Echanges d'infos claires et rapides.Maison charmante idéalement située dans un magnifique jardin. A côté d'une plage seulement séparée par une petite rue très peu fréquentée. Le centre est accessible à pied. Et quel plaisir de parcourire l'ile à vélo. Super séjour.

Cadre idéal et tranquille

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison, idéalement située à deux pas de la plage. Nous avons apprécié le jardin, les différentes terrasses qui permettent de profiter de l'ombre ou du soleil selon les envies, et en bonus la douche et les toilettes extérieures qui facilitent le retour de la plage. La maison est confortable, bien équipée et décorée avec goût. L'hôte a été très accueillant et arrangeant. Nous recommandons vivement cette location !

Un havre de paix en bord de mer

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans une maison de vacances chaleureuse et conviviale au milieu d’un très grand jardin arboré et dans un environnement très calme. La maison est très bien équipée et dispose d’une douche extérieure très agréable après la plage ! La maison est bercée par les vagues et les odeurs d’iode, la mer étant située à moins de 20 mètres. Le centre village est à 10 minutes à pied et propose un marché quotidien ! Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Bernard, le propriétaire. Nous reviendrons !

Familienurlaub mit paradiesischem Garten in toller Lage

Wir haben mit drei Erwachsenen und vier Kindern zwei sehr entspannte Wochen verbracht. Vor allem der riesige Garten, in dem die Kinder (7 bis 11 Jahre) völlig frei spielen konnten, hat uns gefallen. Das Haus versprüht den Charme eines 60iger Jahre- Bungalows. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Auf ein schickes Bad oder W-LAN muss man allerdings verzichten. Der schöne Strand war wirklich nur 50 m entfernt, zahlreiche weitere Strände mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Die Autofahrer auf der Ile d'Oleron verhalten sich sehr rücksichtsvoll, so dass auch wir auch das Fahren mit jüngeren Kindern auf der Straße völlig unproblematisch fanden, von dem guten Netz an Radwegen mal abgesehen. Bernard ist ein sehr zuvorkommender, großzügiger Gastgeber, wir würden jeder Zeit wieder hier Urlaub machen!

Emplacement au TOP, trés bon séjour !

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la maison de Bernard. Il habite dans une maison juste à coté qui partage le très grand terrain de la maison principale. C’est un hôte très agréable, disponible et discret. La maison est très charmante et bien décorée dans un style "vintage 70''. Elle est également confortable et très bien équipée. Le jardin est grand, au calme et très agréable. La plage de sable fin est véritablement à 20m du portail, juste en face d'une petite route peu passante. Elle est peu fréquentée et très agréable ! Enfin, le village de La Brée les Bains situé à 10min à pieds est d'un charme authentique. Il y a un marché quotidien en saison et des commerces de proximités de qualités dans le centre-ville (boulangerie, boucherie, supérette, tabac etc....). Super séjour. Nous reviendrons sans doute ! NOUS RECOMMANDONS !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette très jolie maison familiale avec tout le confort (barbecue, poêle à bois, pas vis à vis, grand jardin, terrasse plein sud) . La maison est située face à la plage, de quoi rendre le séjour aussi pratique qu’agréable. Enfin nous avons eu droit à un accueil sympathique et chaleureux du propriétaire qui est resté disponible et prévenant tout au long du séjour. Nous reviendrons !

Très bien placé et avec un très beau jardin très agréable

La plage -même si ce n'est pas la principale plage du village, cette dernière étant à 5 mn de vélo, 10 à pieds - est de l'autre côté de la route peu fréquentée qui borde la maison... Mais la maison (maison de famille de plein pieds, resté dans son style des années 70 ce qui lui donne beaucoup de charme, se suffit presque à elle même car elle est dans un grand jardin très arboré, très agréable

Réunion de famille tant attendue

Un séjour magnifique chez Bernard dans cette grande maison où rien ne manque et où nous avons pu passer des moments formidables en famille. A deux pas du village de La Brée, à deux pas de la plage, dans un jardin splendide, tout est parfait ! Avec ce petit truc en plus si important : la confiance, la gentillesse, les choses simples et vraies, le sens de l'accueil, l'amitié, se sentir "en famille", en vacances, c'était top ! maison très agréable, propre et fonctionnelle, au sein d'un beau et grand jardin et vraiment à 2 pas de la mer (et tout près des commerces / marché aussi - qq min en vélo ou à pieds). Nous y étions en hiver en famille avec des jeunes enfants et n'avons pas eu froid. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et espérons y revenir à d'autres périodes. Notre hôte était très sympathique et a tout fait pour s'adapter à nos demandes. Merci bcp à lui!

Idyllischer ruhiger Urlaubsort für die ganze Familie

Schönes Häuschen mit Landhaus-Charme und riesigem Garten. Voll ausgestattetes Haus zur Selbstversorgung. Kostenlose Nutzung des gesamten Inventars (Sonnenschirme, Liegestühle, Windmuschel, Fahrräder, Grill usw.) Gemütliches Frühstücken hinterm Haus mit leckeren Früchten vom großem Feigenbaum. Frisches Baguette vom Bäcker - gut fußläufig oder schnell mit dem Fahhrad erreichbar. Nur ein Katzensprung bis zum meist leeren Strand. Einmal die Straße überqueren und ins erfrischende Meer (bei Flut) springen. So nah, dass man beruhigendes Meeresrauschen beim Einschlafen hören kann. Andere schöne Strände an der Ostküste weiter südlich sind mit dem Fahhrad oder Auto leicht zu erreichen. Auch ein schöner Spaziergang am Meer entlang bis zum nahegelegenen Hafen von Saint-Denis. Bernard ist ein super Gastgeber. Schnelle und einfache Kommunikation (französisch und englisch). Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

Magnifique maison à la brée les bains

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans la maison de Bernard. La maison est très agréable et très bien décorée. Le jardin est magnifique et très bien arboré. Bernard est un hôte très sympathique, qui nous a très bien conseillé tout le long du séjour. Enfin la situation de la maison est parfaite, en face du chemin qui amène à la plage et à 2 mins à vélo du centre-ville.

Frühstück mit frischen Feigen

Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt in dieser Spätsommerwoche. Ein menschenleerer Strand mit Vögeln, Wind und Austern ... zum Drachensteigen und und zum Schwimmen und das alles direkt vor der Haustür. Im Haus ist alles was man braucht, um einen entspannten Urlaub mit Kindern zu verbringen. Und auch die Betten waren bequem. Und ganz besonders schön (und lecker) ist der riesige Feigenbaum direkt neben dem Gartentisch. Bernard ist ein sehr entspannter und zuverlässiger Gastgeber.

Wunderschönes Haus, sehr netter Vermieter

Das Haus ist wirklich charmant und die Lage direkt am kleinen, fast immer leeren Strand super. Weitere Traumstrände sind ebenfalls gut erreichbar. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und äußerst hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine perfekte Zeit und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Super Lage, Grundstück, Haus, Kommunikation

Wir sind drei Wochen im Juni 2016 auf der Ile d'Oleron in diesem Haus gewesen. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Wetter war zwar nicht ganz stabil, aber viel besser als in Deutschland. Schon vor der Anreise war der Eindruck positiv, durch die gute Kommunikation (hilfreicherweise auch auf Englisch) und Organisation durch den Vermieter. Das Grundstück ist riesig und abgeschlossen, so dass die Kinder unbeaufsichtigt spielen konnten. Im Haus haben wir alles vorgefunden, was wir brauchten. Sogar Betten und Matratzen, die sehrt gut für unsere ansonsten in Frankreich immer etwas geplagten Rücken waren. Die Lage des Hauses ist super, da man den Strand im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes vor der Haustür hat und man dort kaum parken kann (der Stand ist also auch nicht so voll). Wir hatten Fahrräder gemietet, so dass der Weg zum Markt morgens noch kürzer war; zu Fuß geht das aber auch locker. Die Region ist schöner als der Teil der Insel in der Nähe der Brücke, wohin man es mit Fahrrädern als Normalsterblicher kaum schafft, dafür ist die Insel zu groß. Es gibt ein super Radwegnetz mit sehr viel Abwechslung (Promenaden am Meer, Wälder, Marais, ländliche Gegenden, Hügeliges, schöne Dörfer). La Bree und die Ile d'Oleron haben uns insgesamt super und das Haus und Bernard Mary haben dazu einen signifikanten Beitrag geleistet. Das Haus ist eine absolute Empfehlung insbesondere für die, die vorher evtl. nur die Ile de Re gekannt haben!

Relaxing family holiday close to the beach

We spent some great three weeks in this house wich was mainly due to - Very friendly and helpful owner - Excellent communication ahead of our arrival (conveniently all in English) - Friendly neighbours - Very large and beautiful garden (great for children) - All utilities needed are in the house - Walking to the (never crowded) beach from the gate is nearly shorter than walking to the gate from the house - Great market for food etc. in close vicinity - Beautiful seaside promenade from La Brée to St. Denis nearby (also great for jogging) - All in all a beautiful island (great to discover via bicycle) - much more relaxed than Ile de Ré where we stayed the years before. Bernard, thank you very much for these great three weeks. We definitely want to stay in this house again and would recommend this location.

Calme et repos au grand air

C’est toujours avec plaisir que nous nous retrouvons dans cette villa, puisque c’est notre 5 ème séjour, 2 pour les vacances de Pâques et 3 pour celles de la Toussaint. Villa meublée simplement, mais avec tout le nécessaire, belle pièce principale avec cheminée et surtout un très grand jardin où les enfants peuvent jouer en toute sécurité. Calme et repos sont assurés et prendre ses repas dans le jardin fort agréable. Elle est située en bord de mer, dans un endroit peu fréquenté, et l’accès à la plage est à 50 m. Là nous pouvons nous baigner et pratiquer la pêche à pied. Le centre de La Brée les Bains et le marché (tous les jours en saison) sont à portée de vélos, disponibles gracieusement dans la location. Bref, c’est un lieu de vacances que nous recommandons et nous avons hâte d’y retourner très prochainement.

Séjour très agréable

Location très bien placée, la mer et une plage tranquille au pied de la villa. Le séjour fut très agréable car tout est faisable à pieds ou à vélos : le marché quotidien, les balades variées. Le gros avantage de la propriété est son magnifique jardin arboré où les enfants se sont régalés. Une bonne adresse pour des vacances en famille ou entre amis.

Chouettes vacances au bord de l'eau

D'excellentes vacances passées à Oléron cet été. Pouvoir aller à la plage à pieds, revenir à la maison chercher le goûter ou la crème solaire qu'on a oublié, en quelques pas, c'est un vrai luxe ! On a beaucoup aimé aussi le très grand jardin et la paix qui y règne. Une location à recommander aux familles en particulier.
