Furnished in a pretty country house on the banks of the Loire between Tours and Amboise

Nice two-room apartment in a longhouse in Touraine, for 2 to 4 people.
The house, an old property of light winemaker (south facing), welcomes you with the charm of tradition and complete equipment. A large flower garden is at your disposal in a very quiet environment, in the middle of vineyards and cellars, Loire cycle and hiking trails.
The house is ideally located, 800 m from the banks of the Loire, between Tours and Amboise, near the Castles and Gardens of the Loire (Chenonceaux, Villandry, Chaumont, Azay-le-Rideau ...), Zooparc Beauval. ..
Shops and markets are easily accessible.

A great location and great host.

We knew little about Mont-Louis before our stay, but we were very pleased with the well-equipped house with quiet beautiful garden and extremely helpful host. We found we were able walk through fields and lanes to a large park along the Loire river and also only a few hundred metres from the Loire valley bike path. We loved the 13 km ride to Amboise for ice cream and the 13 km return trip too as the countryside is so varied and pittoresque.

A tranquil retreat

We loved our stay here. It was fairly basic but we had everything we needed. It was lovely and quiet and we enjoyed many BBQ's in the garden. There's loads to do and see in the area so we kept ourselves busy - but the best part was just relaxing in the countryside. The neighbours were great at checking up on us and helping out too. Top marks!

Dans l'ensemble l'appartement aurait besoin d'un coup de fraîcheur...Matelas du lit hors d'usage.( vraiment très vieux et surtout inconfortable )Convertible ..bien.Hotte très grasse.Dommage car l'emplacement est vraiment calme et idéal pour un départ de visite.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans une maison au calme dans un environnement bucolique et reposant. Bien située au milieu des châteaux de la Loire nous nous sommes régalés de visites de châteaux, de caves à vins et de jardins. Merci pourle très bon accueil de Carine et Didier.

Die sehr ruhige Lage lässt einem den Tag direkt vor der Ferienwohnung beginnen und ihn genauso mit einem Gläschen Wein am Abend ausklingen. Die Ferienwohnung bietet ohne großen Luxus alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Die Lage ist super zur Erkundung der Schlösser, ob mit dem Fahrrad oder dem Auto.

Ruhe und Entspannung

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben es uns in dem Haus schnell gemütlich gemacht. In dem Wohnzimmer mit Kamin und Landhaus Charme könnten wir in Ruhe unseren Aufenthalt mit den reichlich vorhandenen Broschüren und Bilderbücher über die Loire Schlösser planen. Die Ausstattung der Küche war einfach, aber es war alles da, was man braucht.

Kleines Paradies in ländlicher Umgebung

Ein ehemaliges Winzerhaus. Authentisch gestaltet, liebevoll und praktisch eingerichtet. Ein richtiger Wohlfühlort! Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und konnten den schönen Garten mit überdachter Sitzgelegenheit geniessen. Gute Lage für Tagesausflüge zu vielen Schlössern und Gärten,Sport und Freizeitmöglichkeiten, auch für Familien. Wir haben Didier leider nicht persönlich kennengelernt, waren aber über Email in regelmäßigem Kontakt. Wir würden wieder hin fahren. Andrea und Chris

Le luxe de l'authentique

Nous avons passés des journées merveilleuses a Montlouis-sur-Loire, dans la maison et le jardin. La communication avec Didier était très agréables et aimable, Carine nous a aceullie, aussi avec gentillesse et amabilité, l'atmosphère était très détendu. Du premier moment on se sentait bien, comme chez soi. Il y a tout ce dont on a besoin. On peut se reposer, lire, boire du thé, cuisinier ... tranquillement. C'est magnifique de commencer le matin avec une promenade dans le jardin, d'y manger, se relaxer. Aussi dans la maison on est confortable. Un endroit du bien-être, très authentique, relaxant, tranquille. Ici on a vraiment l'impression que la vie est un long fleuve tranquille.... Absolument à recommander.... Et il y a des beaux chateaux dans la Torraine et surtout la Loire qui n'est pas loin de la maison, on peut y aller à pied. Ou à vélo bien sûr... Absolument à recommander.... Wir haben wunderbare Tage in Haus und Garten zugebracht, es ist ein herrlicher Ort zum Entspannen. Das Leben ist ein langer ruhiger Fluss, sagt man manchmal - hier empfindet man es. Die Loire ist nicht weit, man kommt zu Fuß hin (besser nicht über den Ort gehen, sondern über einen kleinen Waldweg) - und sie scheint der Inbegriff jenes long fleuve tranquille zu sein, zumindest als wir da waren, zumindest an der Oberfläche;) Der wilde Garten ist ganz wunderbar, die Ruhe, die entspannte Atmosphäre. Es ist alles da, was man braucht, im Haus und im Garten, eine ganz und gar natürliche Atmosphäre. Lesen, ausruhen, relaxen, kochen (ein toller Gasherd) macht hier wirklich Spaß. Dieser Ort hat schon was vom Paradies!Ich hätte mir lediglich eine weichere Matratze gewünscht, aber das ist wirklich rein subjektiv. Sonst ist alles so angenehm, wie man es sich nur wünschen kann. Man fühlt sich einfach wohl, fast wie zuhause. Man hat ein total gutes Gefühl hier. Die Kommunikation mit Didier und Carine war so freundlich, zuvorkommend und zugewandt, wie man es nicht oft erlebt. Danke dafür! Wir sind ungern weggefahren.... Wer mal eine Auszeit braucht, Ruhe und Entspannung, und ab und zu die Loire und ein Schloss besuchen will, dem sei dieser schöne Ort in la douce Touraine wärmstens empfohlen.

Endroit hidyllique à Montlouis Sur Loire (châteaux de la Loire)

Endroit magique et reposant à la campagne, le logement est parfait pour passer de belles vacances les longs de Loire. Les tentations ne manquent pas , vins , cuisine excellente, châteaux merveilleux , Amboise, Clos Lucé, Chambord, et Tours est à coté, on n'a que l'embarras du choix pour les nombreuses découvertes. Didier et Donja ont été d'excellents hôtes, un vrai plaisir de vous avoir rencontrés et merci encore pour votre accueil et pour votre discrétion et pour la recette du vin de fleur de sureau!!! Nous reviendrons pour visiter d'autres châteaux et nous reviendrons chez vous sans faute!!!

Cozy gite in lovely location

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cozy abode in Montlouis. Surrounded by some of our favorite vineyards and with terrific running right from the door. Very simple accommodations but very cozy. No Wi-Fi for those who need it. For us, it was a welcome break.
