About this property

Spacious, Family and Pet-Friendly 4 BR/2 Bath "Seaglass and Surf"

Located where the San Juan River meets the ocean, our house is just steps from the ocean and has peekaboo views of the ocean and river mouth. This comfortable and spacious 4 bedroom cabin is the ideal home-away-from-home, and is very well equipped to accommodate families, with two full bathrooms and two levels. Very private, pet and kid-friendly fenced yard, back deck and gardens, with lots of room for you to bring an extra vehicle or boat. Only 50 yards/m to the waters edge from the front yard, and a short 2 min. walk to the public beach access down the street. Perfect setup for surfers - enjoy the surf nearby and rinse off in the gorgeous outdoor hot shower after your session!

Private backyard fire pit, BBQ, electric fireplace, full kitchen with dishwasher, custom built outdoor sauna, outdoor shower, spacious laundry/mud room, covered front porch, ample parking, WiFi and ocean views are just some of the added features of our beach home.

There are two bedrooms on the main floor: the master bedroom has a king bed with ensuite walk-in closet and bathroom, plus sliding glass doors onto the back deck. The second bedroom on the main floor has a king bed and bathroom right across the hall.

On the second floor there is a charming and bright attic bedroom with one single and one double bed. A second, very spacious attic bedroom has one king and one queen bed.

Please note the house does not have air conditioning, so during the summer months we rely on open windows and ocean breezes + fans to keep the temperature comfortable at night.

This is an amazing, ruggedly beautiful part of the coast - enjoy fresh ocean air and beach walks at your doorstep, salmon and fresh water fishing, hiking/backpacking on the Juan de Fuca or West Coast trail, biking, and surfing at Sombrio only 15 minutes away! The house is located right at the river mouth which is also great for flat water canoeing/kayaking and SUPing.

This was a wonderful house for our family gathering. More room than we expected and everything provided was great. The fenced yard and areas to walk by the beach in Port Renfrew were perfect for dogs. Helpful host!We are planning to book again :)

We arrived at place that was exactly as it was described. It provided sufficient space for us and our grown-up children to enjoy a relaxing Christmas break. Too bad our host was unable to manipulate the weather a bit, I'm certain she would have done it. As such some of our walks on the nearby town-site beach but also at Botanical Garden were a bit ... water logged

This home was excellent. Its huge inside and has more than enough room for everything. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We met the host, Lev, one morning and he was very welcoming. Somehow, we ended up with a huge piece of salmon after our conversation! We had a great time - its a perfect base for hitting all the area beaches and we look forward to another possible stay next year.

Wonderful home and location for a family get away.

Enjoyed all the comforts provided. The location is perfect for a family gathering. We were able to go out for dinner and cook in the well appointed kitchen! Lovely walks to the beach…comfy beds .. everything was wonderful!

A home to look forward to

My husband and I hiked the Juan De Fuca Trail and celebrated with our friends at Seaglass once we came out of the forest. Seaglass was the perfect oasis to come back to the world to. We brought friends from across BC and Alberta together in our VRBO home for the weekend and could not have celebrated in a better place.

We are a family of 4 from Squamish BC who love to surf, beach comb, and relax by the ocean. We split our time between our home on the mainland and our retreat in Port Renfrew. We want our boys to grow up enjoying the coast and running around on the beach!

Why they chose this property

We love how small and quiet Port Renfrew is, and we love to fish and surf. We've always dreamed of owning property on a surf break, and Port Renfrew has this and so much more. It is our home away from home.

What makes this property unique

Our home is very family-friendly, with a fenced front and back yard. It is also located in a very quiet and private part of the Beach Camp neighbourhood, which we love. We have a covered front porch that is perfect for enjoying the outdoors and taking in the view, even on a rainy day. We are a short walk to the Pacific Gateway marina, a 5 minute drive to Botanical Beach and only a 15 minute drive to Sombrio. We have a very comfortable home and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
