Cottage was well kept and comfortable. Lake was cold while we were there and fireworks were too close during 4th of July, but overall a nice place to stay.
This cottage was perfect in every way. Five-plus stars across the board with bonus points for fantastic hosts.
Cottage is lovely and well-appointed. It is in a small neighborhood subdivision so if privacy is important to you, note you will have neighbors surrounding. That being said, the backyard is a great place to hang out and have a campfire.
Beach is nearby and accessible although shared with neighboring homes.
Inside, the adorable cottage is extremely clean and comfortable. It is perfect for a couples getaway or family with young children.
We loved every minute of our time here and hope to return--many times!
Lovely little cottage nestled along the coast of Lake Huron! My family and I had a wonderful getaway at the nest. Genee and her husband were helpful and kind hosts. The lake was beautiful and warm every single day we were there. It was a much needed trip! Thank you!!
The cottage lived up to and exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness was exceptional. Landlords were local and extremely friendly and communicative, but not overly so. Rented for 3 weeks and would do it again in a heartbeat. A wonderful experience from beginning to end.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was charming, really clean and very comfortable. We appreciated having access to the beach and enjoyed the backyard seating and firepit. It was the perfect location to explore the area!
Really enjoyed our week at “The Nest”. The cottage is charming and absolutely spotless. Beach was great as was relaxing in the shaded backyard. Genee and Marty are very friendly and accommodating. Would book again.
Small, quaint, clean cottage! Has everything you need to make your vacations one for the memory books! From BBQs to s’mores at the fire pit to swimming at the beach all in one spot. Very friendly!

Clean, spacious, beautiful beach and convenient location!
Clean, open cottage - loved the space, esp. in kitchen, bath and laundry rooms. We've been renting cottages in Lexington for three decades and the last few had lost their beaches, but the nest's was close and peaceful. Definitely recommend for families, girls' getaways, etc.

Adorable cottage!
We had a great experience at this cottage. It was very clean and its owner very kind. She gave us some coffee to get started (we forgot ours) and rounded up some muffin tins so we could bake the blueberry cakes we were looking forward to. I would recommend it to others.

Perfect
We enjoyed our stay so much that we did not want to leave. There are 2 bedrooms and a sunroof that has a full size bed as well. We loved the decor, and Genee made us feel very welcome. She stopped by to make sure we didn't need anything and was just a phone call or text away if we had any questions. The bathroom has a great skylight. There is a main tv in the living room and a smaller tv in one of the bedrooms. There is basic cable but we were too busy enjoying the beach and exploring to watch lol. We did use the DVD player for movies in the evening. My 4 yr old loved the Lincoln logs that were in the sun room. And there are cards and darts for a game night. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and the dining table seats 6. We spent most nights roasting s'mores in the backyard firepit. Would definitely rebook.
