A nice cabin, with everything furnished.
As mentioned in the listing, no cell phone or wifi, and 60 miles from a real grocery store (Cody).
If you book it, be aware that there are black cows wandering the highway after dark-we came very close to hitting one that was standing in the middle of the road late at night. Very dangerous!
Sweet, cozy little cabin perfect for our family of 4. We made day trips into Yellowstone and over Beartooth Pass into Redlodge.
The cabin had a few puzzles and card games that we played as well as a fire pit that we used.
The cabin is very close to neighbors and while we usually prefer to be a bit more secluded, the location between the national park and Beartooth Pass made it perfect for us.

Excellent!
Cabin was exactly as described. Owners were very quick to respond to any questions and stopped by one evening. They were very friendly and the cabin was very clean with an amazing drive and view from the campfire which had wood provided, already cut for us. Very scenic and easy drive to Yellowstone. We will definitely stay here again if we visit this area again.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and it met your expectations. Hope you make it back to Wyoming again. Thanks. Robin
My family and I had a great time at this cozy little cabin. It was very clean, had everything we needed, and the sleeping loft fit us very comfortably! The neighborhood is very quiet and remote(which we LOVED). We got the pleasure of meeting the owner(very nice man!!) Yellowstone entrance is a beautiful 40ish minutes away, with a couple little towns along the way with gas stations and little diners. We hope to return next summer and will definitely recommend the cabin to anyone else!

Glad you enjoyed the cabin and look forward to you staying again with us. Thanks. Robin
The cabin was extremely clean and had all we needed and more. Comfortable beds. Water heater struggled to keep up with four people showering, but reheated quickly. Distance from Yellowstone was a little far, but the scenery on the drive made up for it. The only think I would add is a washer and dryer. The hosts always responded quickly to emails.

Second time
This little cabin is perfect for us, evidenced by the fact that we returned for a second time! It is stocked with essentials (everything but food) and now has a television. If you are planning a Yellowstone vacation, it is about 30 min. from the Northeast entrance. Thanks again for a great stay!

Unplugged, quiet
This cabin was great for our Yellowstone vacation. It does take about 30 minutes to get to the Northeast entrance, but it was quiet and the drive there is beautiful. The cabin was well stocked, much more so than other houses we've rented, with kitchen equipment and paper supplies. You just need to bring food. Thanks so much for allowing us to rent your cabin!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay...we definitely have tried to think of everything for the kitchen, so glad it had what you needed! Thanks. Robin
Cabin was clean and had all the things needed and more. Got to cabin and realized we forgot some things at grocery store but what we forgot was already supplied in cabin. Great secluded spot, very peaceful and quiet. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away to the wilderness. 25 minutes from northeast gate to Yellowstone. Northeast gate is best gate to go through to see wildlife. It was a great stay and wished we could stay longer.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! And that we had what you needed! Thank you for taking great care of our cabin. So happy you got to enjoy it!
Spent five days at this perfect spot to disconnect and enjoy some slow living. No cell service and no internet. Just the wind in the trees and the roar of the river. Right next to Yellowstone National Park we were able to enjoy an abundance of wildlife and the constant beauty of the Beartooth Mountains. We also had the special opportunity to enjoy a mama hummingbird on her nest taking care of her babies right outside the dining room window. 😎 We are already talking about returning in the near future only during the spring or fall. Would highly recommend.

Thanks for your review? I assume after reading through it you might have accidentally clicked the 1 star rating vs 5 star? Glad that you enjoyed your stay! Thanks. Robin
We loved this cabin! Close to the northeast entrance of Yellowstone, however note that this entrance has a lot of re-construction following the floods of 2022. Makes for a slow entry to the park. But really the best part of this cabin is the amazing setting. It's IN the mountains, two amazing scenic drives just minutes from the front door. The Chief Joseph Hwy and the Bear Tooth Hwy, a must see! A clean, beautiful river is only a 5 minute walk, at which we spent hours just taking in the scenery. My husband caught a few little trout, and had fun with that. The cabin is clean, comfortable and well cared for. It's rustic, and nothing flashy, but that just fits with the remote setting. A very lucky find when searching from Wisconsin.
The property was very remote, i thought there would be cell phone service at the property. The owners did provide a phone which allowed us to communicated with family members.
The cabin was clean with adequate supplies of basic food to get one by until you could purchase your own products. Anyone renting should be aware that food needs to be brought to the cabin and as the owners state, there is nothing close and some grocery stores are closed for the season.
The gas grill was clean with all the cooking accessories available.
Fishing was fun, but you did not really know if you were walking on someone else property. Once again you are in the wild and the open camp locations to go for a picnic were full of beware of bear signs.

If you are one of those people who think they cannot survive without their cell phone or WiFi, then this cabin is probably not for you. HOWEVER, if you are looking to truly get away and reconnect with your family and yourself, this is the perfect getaway. The beds were comfortable and the showers hot (stagger showers, the water heater is small). The cabin is about 7 miles from the Beartooth, 16 miles from Cooke City, and 20 miles from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone. WiFi is available in Cooke City (with purchase from the stores or restaurants), but we found that we really didn’t miss it or want it. We saw a bear by the river not 8 miles from the cabin and lots of other wildlife (the mosquitoes were horrible, but that is to be expected in Montana/Wyoming in the summer). Complete your grocery shopping in Cody as Cooke City has prices that reflect the fact that they are remote. I highly recommend this property, and we will be back since we travel to Yellowstone at least every other year.
My family had a great time. Cabin is in perfect location to Yellowstone National Park. The first night we pulled up there was 3 deer in the yard and you could hear the crickets and frog something that’s hard to hear and see in the city. Thank you for a great cabin to stay and enjoy the woods. Will definitely stay again.
It was an awesome place to stay. Hope to visit again.
The owners were awesome and responded to our requests in record time ( we stayed two extra days with no problem). The cabin had everything we needed. We loved the mule deer in the front lawn every evening. We used the WiFi in Cooke at the visitors center. It was free. We hope to visit again. Thank you soooo much!

No lighting at stairs. No dressers or place to hang clothes in loft. Frying pans need replacement due to Teflon damage.
Everything was fantastic, short walk to the Clarks fork River and 20 minute drive to Cooke City and just a few more miles to Yellowstone. The corner store mentioned in the ad is closed so supplies need to be bought in Cody otherwise Cooke City supplies minimal things at a few general stores. Would definitely come back.
What a wonderful property. Off the beaten path but a perfect place to get away. Small but very comfortable for my family of 4. The cabin was so well furnished-all the little touches made it truly a home away! The proximity to Yellowstone is perfect.. We enjoyed exploring the area and were so appreciative of the advise from the owners.. Thank You for sharing this gem of a cabin!
