About this property
2 bed artistic/designer Flat Near Broadway Market
Summary:
Feel at home at our stunning and quirky two bedroom loft apartment in trendy Hackney, and experience the city like never before.
The Space:
As a refurbished factory space, this property is spacious, characterful with an innovative and contemporary layout. The use of indoor greenery and tasteful, yet modern furniture renders this an attractively eclectic destination.
This artistic loft apartment boasts two attic bedrooms. Both beds dressed in top quality linen and fluffy pillows, promising you get a wholesome nights rest. The rooms are spacious with an open plan and you will have ample shelves as storage to unpack during your unforgettable stay.
With interiors curated from unique, vintage materials this property is full of character. For instance, the shelves full, which are full of cookery books, are fashioned from benches which were sourced from old changing rooms. The antique ceiling lighting formerly occupied the Bank of England and the dinning table was obtained from a cooking school in Liverpool and dates back to 1973. These pieces add so much character to this property.
The kitchen work surfaces are made with refurbished laboratory boards and snooker tables. This makes the apartment a great place to relax and cook with friends. The building's communal garden area is a quiet sanctuary to return to after a busy day in the city.
Finally, adjacent to this loft there is an attached studio space, this is ideal for guests with a passion for photography or film. If you are interested in using this space, please enquire for more information.
Guest Access:
You will have full private access to the property for the duration of your stay.
The Neighborhood:
South Hackney is a fantastic area, recommended by Time Out and the Guardian, amongst others. There is a great mix of fun things to do in a safe residential area. Broadway Market, London Fields, Victoria Park, Columbia Rd Market, Hackney City Farm, an outdoor heated swimming pool, kids playgrounds, tennis courts, bicycle hire, cafes, bars, restaurants, cinemas are all just a short walk away. If markets and food trucks are your thing, Shoreditch, Brick Lane and Spitalfields are vibrant areas only a 30 min walk or two stops on the Overground.
Another big draw is Regent’s Canal, which is lined with street art, colourful barges and former warehouses turned apartment blocks, with independent restaurants and cafes on the ground floor. At a push this can become your own version of a Riveria come the summer months, when all the locals can be found mooching along the towpath on the weekends or spilling out of the Proud Archivist with glasses of wine to enjoy the last of the sun.
The newly rejuvenated arches ferrying the Overground north to Dalston and south to Hoxton have hosted an explosion of cool openings in recent years, from classy Japanese eateries to daffy east-London concept cafés. All this in close proximity to pubs both impeccably hip and craft-based, and comfortably ‘EastEnders’ grimy, and easy access to the lush Columbia Road Flower Market every Sunday.
Getting Around:
The Overground with stations at Haggerston and Hoxton has made the journey to Canary Wharf much easier — commuters change at Canada Water. There are also trains to Dalston, Highbury & Islington, Crystal Palace and Clapham Junction.
There are trains from London Fields, taking nine minutes to Liverpool Street, and from Cambridge Heath, in seven minutes. All stations are in Zone 2 except for Hoxton, in Zone 1.
Other Things to Note:
Fresh bed linen, towels, fluffy pillows, toiletries and other necessities are provided for a comfortable stay. Our 24/7 support team will also be available if you ever needed anything more.
