The Pilot House "Crow's Nest". Downtown Bayfield location at the corner of 1st Street and Washington Avenue. Just steps from the Madeline Island Ferry, beaches, and kayak rentals, with coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, museums, marinas, and the library all within a short walk. The Iron Bridge Trail is just up the hill—no car needed.

2nd dlevel with 17 steps! The "Crows Nest" Sleeps 2 and has breath taking views of Madeline Island off in the distance and looks over the top of the downtown Bayfield area. Walk to everything. Breakfast Blue Berry Muffins, yogurts, orange & grape juice. Coffee maker with coffee and condiments in room along with a Mini Refrigerator. Guests may use our Ice Machine in refrigerator and microwave. Paper plates, plastic forks, knives, spoons next to refrigerator in dining room.

After making a reservation, we will email you and you must immediately reply to our email (not VRBO messaging) with your full address, names of guests and which are adults and children and their addresses, for Wisconsin Guest Registry Statute.
Please note that VRBO will not allow us to message you with our email address and if we attempt to do so, they will block the email out. The Pilot House is a great place to stay!

We spent four nights here and found it very comfortable and enjoyable. Close to everything in downtown Bayfield - we could easily walk to all of the restaurants and shops, as well as the Apostle Islands Cruises and the ferry to Madeline Island. The hosts were very friendly and readily available if anything was needed. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was a great place to enjoy Bayfield! The lake view out of the crow’s nest was special! Inside was well cared for and clean! It’s not a large room, but has a large bath that helps it feel larger.

We had an amazing time at the Pilot House! Having some breakfast options in the morning and coffee and goodies was definitely a plus. Had a great time. Nice room with lake view. Stairs steep but we made it. Jacuzzi did not work. Otherwise nice, quiet, clean lodging.

We had a very nice time in Bayfield. We went to the Chataqua concert and took the grand tour of the Apostle Islands. The Crows Nest where we stayed was very nice. It would have been nice if there had been a few less steps to get to it, but it was nice. It had what we needed. It was clean and quiet and had a nice view of the town below.

The property is close to everything you need in Bayfield. As long as you do not have mobility issues, you are able to walk to the downtown area fairly easily. The house is beautiful and clean. We had access to a light breakfast of muffins, yogurt and juice with coffee access in our room.

Beautiful setting in a beautiful town. The house was immaculate, the room was comfortable. Jack was always available with quick assistance on the property and advice about the town. We had the entire house to ourselves and it was a quiet retreat with a great view.
