Beautiful 8 bedroom Charentaise farmhouse in peaceful rural location

Built in 1897, Le Petit Sorin is a beautiful Charentaise farmhouse set in two acres of gardens. Located in the heart of the Charente-Maritime region of south-west France, the farmhouse presents self-catering accommodation for up to 15 guests in peaceful, rural surroundings.

The farmhouse has two fully equipped kitchens and dining areas, two sitting rooms, 6 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms have an en-suite shower room with WC and in addition there is a bathroom on the ground floor with a bath, WC and separate shower. All bed linen, bath and hand towels are provided as well as travel cots and high chairs for babies.

Outside there is a private pool with surrounding terrace and sunbeds. There is a covered terrace at the front of the house with BBQ and a shady terrace to the rear of the house, both ideal for long lunches in the sunshine and lazy dinners into the evening. The large gardens at the front of the farmhouse are mainly laid to lawn proving a great space for games or for just finding a lazy spot in the shade to chill out.

Nearby are the pretty communes of Leoville (5 mins drive) which has a great epicerie and outdoor restaurant, Baignes (7-8 mins drive) which has two boulangeries, bar, restaurant, pharmacy, post office, Intermarche and petrol station. Further afield is the beautiful town of Jonzac (10 mins drive) with its stunning Chateaux and a great selection of restaurants, bars, weekly markets, thermal springs and Les Antilles a great indoor swimming pool complex.

Within a short drive of the farmhouse are several beach lakes, great for swimming and sunbathing and many with aquatic activities and play areas for children. The fantastic Atlantic coast beaches of Royan and La Palmyre are within 1 hour 15 mins drive.

The farmhouse is within easy reach of both Bordeaux (approx. 1 hour drive) and La Rochelle (1 hour 30 mins)
