Horse riding and trekking are available from the adjacent riding school and Kilnsey Trout Farm complete with fishing, cafe and farm shop is ½ mile away. For cycling enthusiasts the route of Tour De Yorkshire runs past the end of the lane and for walkers, the wonderful Dales Way runs on the hillside above. A well stocked convenience store with local butcher is 2 miles away and the nearest pub is ½ mile.
