Historic houses such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, as well as several National Trust properties, are within easy driving distance, as are the Blue John Caves in Castleton. Cycle hire on Monsal Trail, 1 mile. Horse riding and golf can be found locally. Shop on campsite, 300 yards, pub 1 mile.
