Tastefully decorated property well located in the centre of Ulverston – a bustling market town close to the Lakes, Grange-over-Sands, Cartmel and Kendal.. 1 step to entrance.

This charming holiday cottage is situated on a quiet corner in the heart of the ancient market town of Ulverston. It offers quick and easy access to the many delights of Ulverston, home to the start of the Cumbria Way, with its old pubs, excellent restaurants and the twice-weekly market which is not to be missed. The Lake District National Park, Eskdale Railway, the World of Beatrix Potter and the Furness Coast are all within easy reach, as well as Lake Windermere and Lake Coniston which are 12 miles away. Ulverston has a wide range of shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, a cinema and a leisure centre. Today it’s well known as a festival town with events throughout the year, including walking and art festivals in the summer months and the renowned Dickensian festival in late November. One of the town’s great claims to fame is as the birthplace of Stan Laurel. Whilst many Lakeland destinations have been developed beyond recognition, Ulverston still has an authentic feel and community spirit. All of the attractions of the National Park are easily reached. Bardsea and Askam beach are nearby, as is Dalton Zoo and the Dock Museum in Barrow. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good bird watching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay. This is a wonderful holiday location for family and friends to get away from it all and is an excellent area for cycling. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
