Travel cot available on request. Sitting-out area. Gravelled and lawned area with barbecue (shared). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm). Private parking for 3 cars. Great property facilities and location

Great hosts Neil and Margaret. Neil was always available for any queries or requests. Property is tastefully decorated, great in a very tranquil location, ideally placed to explore but very close to shopping and facilities. Enjoyed it thoroughly and one of the best cottages we’ve been.

Old Stables

Cottage was booked due to a family bereavement and nearer to Dundee than expected(Good). Owners Neil and Margaret very friendly and helpful. The cottage was exceptionally clean could not have wanted anything more. Only thing was the weather but it was February so can't anything else. There was a log burner in main room so cottage was warm and welcoming. Will have to book again for the summertime. Thanks again The Nugent family.

Fantastic cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. It suited us perfectly - in the country but only 10 minutes to Dundee.

This was my 4th holiday in this wonderful location, in this wonderful cottage. If you love peace and quiet, then this is it! The cottage is extremely comfortable, the wood burner makes a superb addition to those chillier evenings, it is very well appointed - you want for nothing. The welcome is second to none - the owners are real friends, and, as this is my favourite part of the country, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Similarly, the owners have paid full attention to the coronavirus guidance which unfortunately is what we need to have at this strange time. I would recommend this outstanding property unreservedly. Everything about it is second to none - the warmth of the welcome from Neil and Margaret is wonderful, as is the welcome pack of wine, eggs from the farm, and warm, home-made bread. The cottage is so very comfortable, and the wood burning stove is brilliant for chillier evenings. I have stayed here three times now, and am booking up for next year! The atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed, you can want for nothing. Sitting outside with a wee dram in the evening is just magical. I love it, and so would you! It's my Scottish home-from-home.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Stables.

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Stables. The cottage was done out beautifully and we wanted for nothing. When we arrived there were fresh flowers on the table, and a bottle of wine, half a dozen free range farm eggs and a loaf of home-baked bread to welcome us - a lovely touch. The beds were extremely comfortable. It is the perfect location for a quiet holiday - out in the country and lovely and peaceful, but still just 10 mins drive from shops, pubs, etc in Dundee. Lovely walks nearby and we were able to take our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back. It's a great base for visiting nearby Dundee and Forfar.

Every finishing touch, so well equipped, wonderful welcome - would suit any season of holiday. Other self catering cottages we've seen are not half as well equipped. Truly an excellently equipped cottage right down to hot water bottles! Very spacious - not cramped; room for the whole family to spread out. Our only criticism... we don't think the photo's do it justice!

The best holiday accommodation I have ever visited

This holiday cottage must rank as at least 5 stars. It was immaculate. All the furnishings were to an extremely high standard and I couldn't find fault with anything. Every little detail and possible need had been thought of. The welcome was second to none, with a loaf of home-baked bread, a box of eggs from the farm, and a bottle of most acceptable wine awaiting. The hosts were so kind, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was extremely comfortable, really a home-from-home, light, bright and airy. I soon learned how to light the woodburner! It was so peaceful and quiet - sitting outside with a cup of coffee was a delight. Eating outside also no problem, with the table and chairs provided, plus a large picnic table and benches. It really was all you could possibly want for a wonderful holiday. I am checking availability for next year!!
