An ideal retreat with rural walks from the doorstep or take the Eurostar over to Paris for a bite to eat.. All on the Ground Floor:

Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine

Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed, Smart TV

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Water underfloor heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. 2-acre grounds (shared). Outdoor heated swimming pool (shared, 11.5m x 5.5m, depth 6m x 1m), open June-August by arrangement with owners. Hot tub (shared with other properties on-site) available all year 8am-8pm. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is access through the grounds with steps. There is a pond in the grounds.. An ideal base for a town or country break. These two adjoining, stylishly-presented, beamed holiday cottages are set in the owners’ grounds overlooking ornamental fishponds, yet you can pick up the Eurostar from Ebbsfleet just 10 minutes away to speed across to Brussels or Paris for lunch! Enjoy rural walks from the doorstep in the picturesque Darenth Valley. Alternatively, travel to St Pancras and Stratford International to explore London’s art galleries, restaurants and museums. For out of town retail therapy, Bluewater - the second largest shopping centre in the UK - is just a short drive. Alternatively, cross the River Thames to visit Lakeside which, together with the accompanying retail parks, forms one of the largest shopping areas in a single location in Europe. Brands Hatch Race Circuit and Lullingstone Roman Villa are close by and well worth visiting. For guests staying in July, a lavender massage at one of the local farms is a real treat! Guests enjoy shared use of the owners’ heated outdoor swimming pool by arrangement. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

A nice cottage set in lovely well maintained grounds, with a swimming pool and a hot tub too. We used this cottage as a base to explore the local area and found some nice places to visit.Dartford Central park is nice with a lake, café, exercise equipment, play area for kids etc. We also went to checkers pub for Sunday lunch which nice but you need to book.

Very cute little cottage with lovely outdoors, near enough to London and close to the south Eastern coast as well, does need some updating of the mattress and pillows though, unless stiff and firm is your preference! Also has a pool and hot tub but not available to guests past 8 pm which was a bummer, would have been great to use especially after a long day of exploring!

Wonderful and peaceful getaway.

I loved being here. As it was the first time I had been overseas, this cottage really helped to make the trip memorable and comfy. The grounds surrounding the properties(as there are a few other cottages on the premises) are very well maintained and attractive. The property is far enough from the town where one feels quite secure leaving the door open for the cool weather to come in. The sound of the A2 nearby isn't a big deal. Just a bit of ambient noise that makes the serenity and peacefulness of the environs very appealing and relaxing. A couple of things to consider when renting this space. The picture in the ad shows two cottages in one building. That is to say, it's like a duplex. The hedge in between the two doors is where the big cottage is split into two. While this wasn't a dealbreaker, it should be made more clear. The heated floor was amazing. To the point that the windows were always left open to balance out the warmth the floor produced. The only downside to the floor is it's very smooth and slick, so coming out of the shower and walking into the bedroom was sometimes risky. There is no dryer, but only a washer. In lieu of a washer is a foldable drying rack. Not a dealbreaker, either, but this fact should be advertised. Finally, there is no wifi. This fact definitely needs to be advertised. If you're going to use the kitchen, you'll need to purchase everything. There are dishes and utensils, cooking pots and pans, but no foodstuffs whatsoever to go with them. Not even salt. The same with the washer. If you're going to use it, you'll need to purchase detergent, fabric softener, bleach, whatever you may need. There was none. Truly, this place is a getaway, and choosing this cottage helped cement my budding relationship with my girlfriend. The setting was pretty enough to make our meeting and being together the dream we had created for ourselves in one another's minds. I recommend staying here, but account for grocery shopping, and upping your data plan. If you plan on bringing a laptop for working or otherwise like I did, plan on having a power bank with pass through capabilities that can charge a laptop, or make room in your budget for uber, bus, train, and tube fare to get to a coffee shop or otherwise that has free wifi like I had to do.

Ein schönes Häuschen mit allem, was man für ein paar Tage benötigt!

Lage und Ausstattung sind super. Fußläufig zu Tankstelle, Restaurant und Supermarkt mit Bars. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Couch und Matratze dürften langsam erneuert werden, aber das nur am Rande. Gerne wieder.

Very suitably located for what we wanted. Television reception patchy - one in bedroom needs retuning, otherwise very comfortable and clean (we did not need the heating). Had trouble getting off M25 as 1b does not operate from South, otherwise directions excellent.
