This property is a bit isolated so we didn’t visit any of the services in the immediate locality.
This property is a bit isolated so we didn’t visit any of the services in the immediate locality. However, Keswick and the lakes are within easy reach. For us (party of 4 adults) the property was a super base. The narrow lanes in the immediate locality whilst a challenge at times, added to the sense of being in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle. House itself was clean, well furnished, warm and welcoming. Nice view from the upper level lounge. The barn with an availability of table tennis etc was a good feature. Overall, an excellent property enabling us to have a great week away. We would return. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Ellen Cottage is a lovely place.
Ellen Cottage is a lovely place. Clean and tidy. Arrived to find hand sanitiser bottles in hallway and kitchen. A nice bottle of red wine on the table along with a handmade welcome card. All rooms were well presented and spacious. We particularly enjoyed the open window in the lounge which gave beautiful views of the local landscape.
