Lovely setting for this holiday house with wonderful views of the countryside and village.

Lovely setting for this holiday house with wonderful views of the countryside and village. Plenty of space for 6 with the added bonus of a separate playroom with games console. Comfy beds. Local pub, The Cridford, does excellent Sunday lunch!Hot tub had a leak while we were there but the owner went out of her way to keep it topped up so we could still use it. The surrounding patio was very dark and could use more lights (solar not effective enough in winter!) to make the hot tub safer to use in the evening. Water pressure in the showers was poor too.

Pleasant upside down holiday home, with plenty of room, comfy furniture, fabulous views. Lots of peace & quiet. Local pub is a short walk - downhill there, uphill on the way home. Take a torch with you! The house does have emergency torches in most of the bedrooms, but not all working. No street lighting so star spotters are in luck. Hot tub a great addition (it’s why I booked the house) but unless there are two of you, it’s very difficult to get the lid off & on. The “welcome basket” of a cream tea was a very good choice of the owner. Owner, Sarah, was lovely in the communication we had, and I met her briefly on the morning of my departure.The information file containing maps and descriptions of local walks was very helpful. The house could do with some TLC - bannister loose, garden needs a good bit of pruning, but with the house being booked all the time getting those jobs done is tricky. If you want peace and quiet this is the spot for you.
