A beautiful cottage in a charming village. Michael was very responsive and gave comprehensive instructions. The cottage had everything needed, it was so peaceful and private. I’d stay here again without question.
It was a great place to stay, lots of great walks locally and fantastic views of the surrounding area. The bungalow was very clean on arrival and was equipped with everything needed. The locals were super friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend this place.
Wonderful week here. Great location for hillwalking and exploring the area. Functional kitchen with enough storage space to self cater for a week and comfy living room with a wonderful view.
Wonderful place! The cottage has everything you need. You can't see it in the pictures but it's very spaceous and comfortable. It's a great base for hiking in the area. The landscape takes your breath away. Also perfect if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place. It's wise to take some foodsupplies with you when you have plans to stay for a while. There's a little store in the village, but it's very basic. We loved the cottage! Clean, comfortable and spaceous. Love to return to it!
My brother and I and stayed for 7 nights. The place is a well appointed cottage in a very handy location. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The place is way better than the photos suggest. Awesome base for exploring. Michael is a very helpful host.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
We enjoyed our stay here. I noticed some reviews mention the electric cost, it was made clear to us from the outset and although unusual isn't a first for us. Well equipped cottage, good garden space.
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and well-equipped holiday house in Kinlochewe. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s an ideal starting point to explore Wester Ross and the surrounding area. The stunning landscape, with Ben Eighe right on the doorstep, provided breathtaking views and fantastic hiking opportunities around every corner.
The gas station/café across the street serves the best coffee we had on our entire trip. Highly recommended!
Nice place, well kept and looked after. Great location for the National park, walking, or taking in the scenery of the Highlands. Footpath to the visitor centre or up the mountain. The garage opposite has a fab little cafe, a little shop, and there is also the village shop, another cafe/pizza place and a hotel restaurant all within 5 mins walk. Communication with the host was excellent and very helpful.
An enjoyable stay overall, everything was very clean and comfortable
Especially the beds and main room furniture. There was a shortage of some items,4 cups and 2 mugs is just not enough
Other cottage sites we have used provide some welcome items, at least a pint of milk.Plus there was no guest review book. The cost of electricity is always included in the price and the 9am leave is unnecessary now..Finally the photograph of the property is very misleading. The isolation depicted is nowhere near correct
We based ourselves at the cottage for a week and the location is perfect for discovering the west section of the NC500.
Cottage is clean and well enough equipped to use as a base. The only thing I would suggest to be a benefit would be a clothes horse for airing/drying clothes ( there is a small tumble drier but for hanging wet jackets after a walk it would be useful )
The garden is a bit neglected and overgrown which is a shame but this did not impact our holiday much but the tall trees make the back of the house very dark.
House warm and comfortable, great water pressure provided a fab shower.
Local services are decent. As previously mentioned the service station is good for basics and the local pizza restaurant should not me missed, it is wonderful!
Gairloch is a short drive and lovely to visit and Applecross via the Bealach na Ba is an unforgettable experience! Achmelvich, Skye worth a visit but the local area and Torridon ( 20 mins away) is utterly beautiful.
I would recommend the cottage as it is excellent value for money and it is in a wonderful location.
Excellent comms with Michael the owner too.
I’d happily go back x
The cottage was just as described and positioned perfectly for all local amenities and walks. The cottage has all the facilities you require for a comfortable stay.
It was spotlessly clean and everything that was needed was there. A lovely location for touring the area. Pity garden was a let down but previous review highlighted that, did not spoil out stay and would still recommend.
We had a great week.
The area is perfect for touring and exploring the area. The garden was perfect for our dogs as so secure.
The service station opposite sells great sandwiches and cakes and couldn't be more convenient. It's petrol was cheapest around.
Our only grumbles were lack of a broom, as I don't like using a hoover on laminate flooring , having to pay extra for electricity normally included. Also check out time on the website is 11am, but the information left asked it to be 9am due to cleaning for COVID . Does it really take 7 hours to prepare the place.
These were minor niggles compared to the brilliant week we had
The pictures on the listing do not do this property justice. It is a lovely spacious cottage and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a self catering holiday.
The location and easy to explore Torridon and surrounding area is perfect !
Would highly recommed.
Plenty of space for the two of us, and all our canoeing and hiking gear. The property was clean and tidy, and we felt reassured that Covid-19 was being taken seriously.
The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen well-equipped, apart from the fridge being a little on the small side (there is plenty of freezer space in the garage, but we didn't need that). The photograph in the listing is clearly a little out of date, as the cottage is surrounded by tall trees, but there is a glimpse of a mountain view from the front, and that side of the property gets lots of sunlight, so this was not a major issue (we were outside most of the time, anyway!).
This is an excellent base for exploring in different directions - no need to drive along the same bit of road every day, so giving us lots of options.
Sehr netter und hilfsbereite Vermieter.
Das Haus war einfach und zweckmäßig ausgestattet und hat unseren Ansprüchen genügt.
Sehr schöne Lage mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.
Lovely cottage that had everything we needed. It was in the perfect location for touring the upper west coast. Great walks around the property with stunning views
