If your idea of the perfect holiday is relaxing in an ultra luxurious and private Tuscan styled villa nestled among olive trees overlooking the stunning Ionion sea on the beautiful north east corner of Zakynthos then LAGARIA is your perfect choice. A short eight minutes drive from the local port and restaurants , the Peligoni beach club and a beautiful local beach. This recently opened six air-conditioned bedroomed holiday retreat has everything you could wish for. Not only does every bedroom boast stunning en-suites with showers but the master bedroom also features a large balcony with stunning views and a to-die for bathroom complex with double sinks and powerful rain shower. The entire villa also features the 100% reliability of English plumbing unlike most villas on the island. When it comes to finding a secluded spot to unwind, you’ll be spoilt for choice at Lagaria. As well as a fabulously stocked kitchen with a full-sized SMEG fridge-freezer, electric range cooker, dishwasher, the villa also offers a spacious Family Room and Living Room on the ground floor of the villa, as well as a huge Play Room in the villa’s basement, stocked with a large flat-screen Sky-enabled TV, a DVD player with a multi-genre library of over 200 DVDs , Wii and Table Tennis table. But that’s not all, this haven also boasts a jaw-dropping outdoor living area, with plenty of sofas begging to be lounged on, iPod docked outside speakers, fabulous mood lighting and an outside stone fireplace. And the al-fresco dining area housed beneath an atmospheric wooden pagoda is just as stunning, offering guests the choice to cook up a storm on either a full-sized gas BBQ or in an authentic wood-burning stove. The house has been interior designed with luxury living in mind. Beautiful muted tones and soft linens have been used throughout the property. But it is the stunning outdoor pool that will really blow you away. Large, sweeping marble steps will take you from the villa to the fabulous pool terrace, framing a 13.5m x 6m beautiful mosaic-lined pool with sunbathing terrace. There is a heated Jacuzzi that sits up to 10 people, comfortable sun loungers and day bed, bar area and secluded chill-out zones throughout garden. For those of you want to do more than just lounging around there is a boules court and other outdoor games to keep you amused. If you absolutely have to keep in touch with the real world, there is Wi-Fi throughout the villa, and your security is absolutely assured with gates and fully-integrated burglar alarm and room safes. Should you need it, the villa also offers a large self-contained apartment, complete with kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and lounge area, suitable for grandparents or maybe even an au pair or nanny. Families with young families are most welcome, and items such as high chairs, changing mats,booster seats, pool alarms, cots, nappies and baby formula can all easily be provided. The playroom also has a selection of toys, books and jigsaws for the under 10s as well as a Wii for the older kids (and parents!) I am a busy mum of four who just couldn't resist the challenge of building our dream house in Greece. I have a passion for interior design and landscaping and have been thrilled to create a property that is both luxurious but family friendly. My four children range from a baby to a teenager so all their needs have been catered for at Lagaria. My husband and I love cooking and entertaining so we wanted to create a fabulous cooking and eating area and love cooking pizza on our authentic wood fired oven. We wanted to make sure that the villa had all the mod-cons but retained the charm and softness associated with the island. I hope you feel we have achieved this.

Why they chose this property

We love Zakynthos with is stunning green natural beauty. Every time we drive to the villa we are always impressed by the sweeping views to the sea, the wild flowers in spring and the vast swathes of Olive and Cypress tress.
This part of the island in my opinion is the prettiest part of the island and although there is plenty to do we are tucked away from the busier southern resorts.
We love the direct flights and still can't get over how we can be in rainy cold England in the morning and by lunch time we can be sitting eating Calamari with Tzatsiki by the beach.

What makes this property unique

Our children love the pool, the boules court and just hanging out in the hammocks. We love the fact that they spend all day in and out of the pool, running around the large garden, climbing trees and exploring the surrounding area. The fresh air, sun and sea air seems to be a tonic to all of us. When the children are in bed my husband and I can retreat to the Jacuzzi with a glass of bubbly or curl up in front of the outdoor fire.Bliss!
