About this property

The only VRBO on the North end of Toledo Bend. Cabin with lakefront access

This amazing 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin is fully equipped and ready for short or long-term visits. Cabin has a strict outdoor ONLY smoking policy to accommodate all of our guests. One bedroom has a full bed and a queen bed with a clawfoot tub/shower combo private bath, the second bedroom has 2 sets of single bunkbeds and one single bed (5 twins total) with private bath/shower and washer & dryer. Sofa in living area makes into a full bed also. Plenty of room to sleep 11. Kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, full fridge, microwave and dishwasher. All rooms have flat screen TV's with Direct TV. Central heat & air. The fully covered front porch has a hot tub, swing and plenty of seating, there is a fan for those long hot summer days and a mosquito mister surrounds the cabin to keep those pesky bugs at bay. There are 2 BBQ pits available and a firepit for perfect s'more toasting. Make time to relax in the hammock overlooking the lake.
There is a covered 50 AMP RV spot available or you can use that spot for covered parking. There is plenty of parking and 23 acres to roam. The shop has fish cleaning station with a covered, concrete picnic area.
There is a 10 x 12 dock to fish from or dock your boat and a covered boathouse (top only) for 2 boats.
Kitchen is fully stocked to enjoy a home cooked meal or send the men out to grill outdoors and enjoy the amazing covered porch overlooking beautiful sunsets. Nearby Logansport has many wonderful resturants to enjoy as well if cooking isn't your thing.

Great Cabin

We had so much fun at this cabin on Toledo Bend! The weather was amazing and although the fish weren’t biting we still had fun in the sun. Great location and we loved how secluded it was. Also the back porch is awesome and loved all the sitting areas especially the TV outside. Thanks for letting us stay!!

Sand bass fishing

Awesome home for family and friends! Very very clean and a beautiful deck to watch the sunsets. I would recommend staying with Donna and staff! Will stay with Donna again next year !

Relaxing Fun

This is the perfect cabin in the woods for relaxing and having fun with family and friends. We enjoyed kayaks, fishing and sitting on the porch looking out at the beautiful lake view. The property was expansive for the furr baby to enjoy running and exploring. Also isolated enough to limit dog reactivity. We truly enjoyed our week long stay at this property and cannot wait to plan another stay!!

Perfect Cabin in the woods

We were delighted with our stay at "Our Back Porch". The porch was indeed a highlight, spacious and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the porch swing and the VIEW! We grilled steaks on the bar-b-que grill provided (complete with charcoal). There were many spices in the cabinet, and an ample dishes and cookware. We left a couple of champagne glasses for future visits, but there were plenty of glasses and plastic tumblers, too. The beds were super comfy, and there were plenty of towels! The area felt friendly and I liked having the little cabins and a few campers over in the distance. The cabin has a wonderful remote location without feeling isolated. Logansport is very close by and we loved visiting the little town and eating at Big Zach's (serves lunch and dinner). Crawfish were in-season, and we ate some there and brought some back to eat on the porch while enjoying the gorgeous view. Looking forward to visiting again in the fall.

Amazing getaway!

Me and my husband stayed here for an entire week and absolutely loved it. The house and facilities are perfect with anything and everything you might need and more. The view is amazing and the water is literally feet from the back porch. The porch is great with lots of cover, hot tub, and and multiple grills. We brought our bass boat and were able to dock it under the cover and come and go as we wanted without having to trailer the boat very day. If you are bringing a boat, it is all shallow water except for the river. We knew that and it was fine because we were there to fish. We caught a few catfish and one 5lb bass there from the dock at the house and a lot more fish out on the lake. While there we saw eagles, beavers, lots of birds, and plenty of other wildlife. The communication from the owner Donna was perfect. She answered all out questions prior to booking as well as after booking. Stayed in touch during our stay and came and checked on us. The small town of Logansport actually has an amazing restaurant called Zack's and a fishing store with baits and equipment if needed. The two things to know are that the closest boat ramp closes entrance at 5 pm, so if you are keeping your boat at the house and parking your truck at the house, you need to be at ramp before 5 pm if you are trailering boat for the evening because of storms or whatever. Second, there is a small RV setup of maybe 5 spots and 2 cabins next door, that we missed when researching property. I am sure we just missed that fact, but we thought the property was just the house. The people next door were mostly very quite and it did not really effect anything about the location or our stay. We had a great time and loved our stay. We did not want to leave. We highly recommend choosing this place to go and have fun, just relax, catch some fish, or all of the above.

This rental was clean, the view was amazing! Fully furnished with anything you could want or need, we didn't bring our children but there's something for kids and adults to enjoy. The hot tub was nice we will definitely be back!! Thanks so much! Definitely recommend this spot!

I went to school in Logansport, LA and raised my girls on the banks of the Sabine River. This property brings back lots of fond memories for myself as well as my family. My youngest daughter and I purchased this property and decided to make it a "memory maker" for others as well as a place for us to enjoy.
