The Red House, Lake Bled

The Red House is on the edge of Spodnje Gorje village, just a few kilometres from world famous Lake Bled.
With river and mountain views on the border of Triglav National Park, the house comfortably sleeps eight people in three generously proportioned bedrooms and one double sofabed in the living room.
The area is popular with outdoor types - hiking, fishing, swimming, skiing, caving, biking and white water rafting are all nearby. There are a number of great excursions locally, with Vintgar Gorge only 1km away.

Central location

The location was close to vintgar gorge and lake bled, although a little tricky getting in and out of the driveway coming from one direction. It was clean and had toys for littles although smelled a little musty.

Red house water pressure in shower range of pots, pans, crockery etc in kitchen spacious comfy sofa for chilling parking space quick response to queries, when the toaster broke a sandwich maker was delivered same day as an alternative. Lots of books Traditional alpine wood look and feel If you have allergies then be aware that whilst the surfaces were clean it is a dusty house and the bathroom has mold. The throw cushions and sofa were dirty and smelt of mildew and stale sweat. I washed all of the cushions and aired all of the sofa cushions so it should be better now The downstairs bathroom smells of the drain The mattresses were uncomfortable The dishwasher was broken throughout our stay and couldn’t be fixed The hob fan and light didn’t work, because there is only a single dim bulb in the kitchen it was very difficult to see to use the hob As the house is in the shadow of trees there is almost no direct sunlight We couldn’t find the bbq wifi is pretty bad, but that goes with being out of town and in the mountainsIt could all be sorted if Red House had:- Mattress toppers/ upgrade- Deep clean- Electrics & appliances fixed in kitchen and a new lightbulb & a shade fitted

Schlechte Lage

Das Haus liegt direkt an einer Landstrasse und gegenüber dem örtlichen Sägewerk. Arbeitsbeginn dort um 6 Uhr, teilweise wurde bis ca. 18 Uhr gearbeitet. Der Lärmpegel ist erheblich.

Lovely house plenty of space for 6 people

Lovely house in great location. Showers really good (important with 6 women). Beds comfortable and large rooms. Kitchen could do with more equipment (1 wine glass only!) and could have left enough washing up liquid/ loo roll (only a bit of both) and some salt and pepper etc.

wonderful time we Come again

We have had a great time in the red house. The surroundings are beautiful and there is a lot to see. The neighbours are very nice and speak a little bit german. We will be back next year. The house is well equipped with everything you need. It is highly recommended for young people and families as it is located directly on the street, you can hear the traffic outside when the window is open. This did not bother us. We stayed in the bled and the waterfalls, everything was within walking distance. In this town you can go to eat and you have a small sweet supermarket Thanks for this stay Best regards

Excellent stay

Our stay in the Red House was excellent. I have already left our review on the guest book at the house and I am happy to write some comments here! The House was equipped with all the necessities. The box of toys and the Wi-Fi kept our 4 kids entertained all the time. The only thing that I would suggest is a bigger fridge since the one at the house is quite limited. But over all our stay was one that we enjoyed and we would be very happy to rent it again if we shall visit Slovenia in the future.
