La Grange at La Belle Etoile is a beautifully restored 19th-century stone barn that combines traditional French character with modern comfort. Nestled on the edge of the peaceful village of Avon-les-Roches, in the heart of the Loire Valley, it offers the perfect countryside retreat for up to four guests. Surrounded by over an acre of gardens, woodland and open green spaces, La Grange provides privacy, tranquillity and an ideal base for discovering one of France's most beautiful regions.

La Grange has its own private, secluded terrace where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning sunshine, long lunches outdoors or an evening glass of local Chinon wine while taking in the peaceful surroundings. Extensive gardens, mature trees and flower beds provide plenty of space to relax throughout your stay.

Heated Swimming Pool

Guests enjoy exclusive access to our heated 10m x 4m swimming pool, shared between only two independent cottages. Dedicated private pool times are allocated to each cottage throughout the day, allowing everyone to enjoy peaceful swimming while maintaining the relaxed atmosphere that our guests value. The pool is available throughout the season from mid-May until the end of September.

La Grange has been carefully renovated to retain its original charm while offering everything needed for a relaxing holiday. The fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and spacious bedrooms provide a welcoming place to return after a day exploring the Loire Valley. Traditional stone walls, exposed beams and the characterful spiral staircase combine with modern conveniences including Wi-Fi, quality appliances and comfortable furnishings.

Whether you enjoy history, wine, gardens or outdoor activities, La Grange is ideally located. The magnificent châteaux of Chinon, Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Ussé, Langeais and Chenonceau are all within easy reach. The surrounding countryside offers wonderful walking and cycling, while canoeing on the River Vienne, local markets, restaurants and village festivals provide plenty of opportunities to experience authentic French life.

Wine lovers will appreciate being in the heart of the famous Chinon wine region, where family-run vineyards welcome visitors to sample the area's renowned Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc wines.

Ideal for Families and Friends

La Grange sleeps up to four guests. For larger family gatherings or holidays with friends, our second cottage, La Maison, can also be booked (subject to availability), providing accommodation for up to ten guests while allowing each family to enjoy their own independent accommodation and private outdoor space.
