Found the place easily using the directions they gave us. The cabin was very clean and well equipped. Short driving distance to the north and south entrances to Theodore Roosevelt park. Enjoyed our stay.
Cute cabin with small but well-equipped kitchen. The main bedroom was adequate, but the other two bedrooms are really small. If you are looking for solitude, this might be great for you. However, we felt it was very far from any amenities, including stores, restaurants, or activities. We hiked a little in a nearby area, but the best hiking seemed to be in the South Unit, which was quite a long way.
We had a great time! The cabin was clean and well stocked.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Owners are very accommodating and great with communications. Cabin was very clean, fair pricing, quiet, non-commercialized and very peaceful location. Highly recommended and will definitely stay there again.
The cabin had everything we needed. It was very quiet and clean. Enjoyed hear the wild turkeys and coyotes nearby in the woods. We would stay there again.
We stayed here while visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park and western ND. Nice clean cabin located on a farm, just 10 minutes from the north unit and an hour from the south unit / Medora (but a very easy drive). Would stay here again if we were in the area again.
Liked the cabin but to small of bedrooms no place to put a suitcase in the small bedrooms, very nice place and clean, never found the yellow line or map
Great location to the North Park. Clean quit well stocked cozy cabin! Grilled each night had coffee on deck each morning. Make sure you go west a half mile and go down into the grasslands for more peace and solitude.
A very quiet and serene setting with quick access to hiking trails in the badlands. The cabin meets all your needs whether relaxing indoors, on the deck or heading out for some exploring.
Conveniently located near north gate. Comfy rental!
A friend and I stayed for 2 nights, it was cozy and had what we needed (hot showers, kitchen supplies, comfy sofa and recliner and comfy beds). There are a couple window unit air conditioners that kept the space cool and provided white noise.
We were greeted by the friendliest black cat that kindly showed us to our cabin, and would greet us when we returned each day. The cat didn't even try to invite itself in!
The vrbo is located on a working farm. Being city people, it would have been fun to see/learn more about their operation. Maybe that is for another visit :)
This cabin was great location for reaching both the north and south units of TRNP. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. Not much nearby dining so bring your groceries. Host was quick with responses when we had a question. 6 th street signage a little difficult to see from the highway but the big brown “Bennett Campground” sign is a good landmark. Great dark sky for star viewing from the deck. We could see the Milky Way.
We had an amazing family weekend at this cabin. There is a trail that's just a mile away. It was our families first hiking adventure and we will definitely be back! We all loved the cabin! Clean, cozy and quiet!
A nice, very quiet property in very rural western South Dakota. Unit was very cosy for our 3 person group. Close to Roosevelt National Park-North Unit. We saw abundant wild life and experiences delightful early September weather.
This cabin at Bennett Creek Lodge is a perfect stay for a small family. We really enjoyed seeing the incredible night sky as it is away from everything. The hosts are easy to work with and accommodating. The "What's Nearby" confused us by saying Theodore Roosevelt National Park was 3.9 miles away (item 11). It is a bit longer than that but a pleasant drive. This cabin is in a perfect spot to visit the North Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park . We highly recommend this cabin.
