Seacliff is a modern bungalow situated in the small harbour settlement of West Bay near to the town of Bridport in Dorset and benefits from its enviable position, overlooking West Bay beach and the cliffs. The bungalow can sleep 6 people in 3 bedrooms, 1x kingsize double with sea views, 1 x twin single beds and 1x kingsize double with ensuite shower, basin and WC as well as a family bathroom with bath and shower over, basin and WC. The rest of the bungalow is made up of a fitted kitchen/diner/sitting room with sea views. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for 2 cars and a front garden with views, patio table and chairs. Seacliff is a wonderful holiday home in a perfect setting for discovering the coast of Dorset and would suit a family of group of friend’s seaside holiday.

Town: West Bay, fondly known as “The Gateway To The Dorset Jurassic Coast”, nestles beneath the glorious sandstone cliffs of Golden Cap, at the western end of the dramatic pebbly Chesil Beach. This is a wonderful seaside location, perfect for family holidays, offering scenic walks along the South West Coastal Path, as well as ample opportunities to try your hand at sea fishing, golf, fossil hunting, boating, or even try scuba diving. Only 1.5 miles away is the vibrant market town of Bridport, featured in the TV series, River Cottage. The area holds plenty of attractions to suit the whole family! Just a short drive takes you to the picturesque seaside resort of Lyme Regis, the lovely sub-tropical gardens and swannery at Abbotsbury, or the golden sands of Weymouth. This wonderful location makes an ideal base for a great family holiday.

The only reasons this property did not get 5 stars were the kitchen area was grubby, with a brown stained sink, and the oven shelves were dirty and sticky. The kitchen equipment was very basic, no serving dishes, no whisk, all chopping boards were mouldy and damaged.Otherwise the property was excellent, rooms a good size, view amazing. West Bay is a lovely place for a holiday, and a 1 1/2 mile walk on footpaths to Bridport. Go on a Tuesday or saturday to the market, amazing selection of shops and stalls, with local food and crafts.

Toilet in family bathroom is very stained. There was no bleach to use.Sheet in en suite bedroom had an old stain on it. Not very nice. Otherwise everything was good. We enjoyed our stay - shame about the weather!

Mooie plek aan de kust

Het huisje ligt op een prachtige lokatie met schitterend uitzicht over de zee. Vanuit het huisje is het maar een paar minuutjes lopen naar West Bay waar volop gezellige restaurants zijn. De woonkamer en slaapkamers waren schoon en het huisje was van alle gemakken voorzien maar zou wel langzaam een renovatie kunnen gebruiken. De oven was helaas erg vies en de badkamer was zodanig verouderd dat het ook niet meer goed schoon te maken is.Bij aankomst bleek een van de bedden niet te zijn opgemaakt, dit werd wel de dag later opgelost.

Really enjoyed our stay for 4 nights. Beautiful views over the bay . Accommodation had everything you needed. Perhaps in winter months it would be better to check in before 5pm. Its dark by 4.15pm and it was very difficult locating where to park and unload the car. We had a super stay though. Thank you
