About this property
Patonga Beach Bach
Patonga Beach House provides a wonderful escape destination. The house is on the beach, and faces north for all day sun. Immediately behind the house is the lovely Brisbane Waters National Park. The house has fabulous views down Patonga Creek and on the ocean side across to Lion Island and Barrenjoey lighthouse. A large north facing deck overlooks a beautiful swimming beach. Living and bedrooms all have stunning water views.
One of the attractions of the house is that while close to Sydney, the location has a feel of being away from everything. Access to the house is via a short row (about 250 meters) across the Patonga Creek in our dinghy. Water only access means no roads, no traffic and the beach at your doorstep. If your rowing skills are a bit rusty, then we can arrange for our caretaker Hans to met you on arrival and show you the ropes. Just let us know if you need this service when you book.
Once there you can choose from a variety of activities such as swimming, fishing from the supplied dinghy, beach cricket and ball games, kite flying, exploring the creek with the supplied kayaks, mucking around at the mouth of the creek on the surf ski, and enjoying the local bush walks. Or, you can just relax outside on the sheltered, sunny deck with a book or magazine from the house and watch the day go by. The deck looks over the beach, perfect for watching children while they play.
The house comes supplied with TV/DVD and Bose stereo with CD & iPOD compatibility. Linen is provided.
Patonga Village and Brisbane Waters National Park
Patonga is a small fishing village - fabulous for an idyllic getaway. Surrounded on all sides by the beach, the creek and National Park, the village has an untouched atmosphere that is quite unique so close to Sydney. The village has a tavern, a general store and bottle shop, tennis courts, playgrounds and quiet streets for wandering down.
Patonga Beach House has the National Park at its back fence. In fact, the Brisbane Waters National Park surrounds the entire village and there are many beautiful walks you can take. The scenery is magnificent, the bird life is spectacular and koalas can sometimes be seen in the local trees.

Our stay was again incredible and we will definitely be returning. Peter was so accommodating. The place was exceptionally clean and had all of the mod cons. Our teenage boys went fishing off the beach each day and we could see how much fun they were having from the balcony. Can't wait till the next time.
This lovely cottage is a piece of heaven. So well situated on an idyllic inlet and the cottage has absolutely everything you could need: cooking utensils, basic pantry items, games, water sporting equipment etc.. we have returned to spend 3 Xmas so far and would do so again and again.
Stunning property, exceptional location and has everything you need for a perfect stay. We have stayed a few times and the owner has made a number of improvements since our last visit (new bathroom, kitchen and upgraded bedroom) which just add to the experience. Highly recommend, we will be back again in the future.
Thanks for your feedback Kiana. We have an ongoing program of improvements to the beach house - as you will have seen we installed a new kitchen recently. Since your visit we have also replaced the bathroom and some windows, with more work to come!
Highly recommend this property for a family holiday. Beautiful views, location and property is well equipped. Boat trip was fun. Thanks a million Hans.

A perfect place to get away from it all, with the use of kayaks, fishing rods, board games and readi
A perfect place to get away from it all, with the use of kayaks, fishing rods, board games and reading material there is plenty to do if you want or you can just lounge around in a sunbeam and relax. A beautiful location and comfortable house that I will definatly be visiting again.
We had such a fantastic stay here. Rowing over to the property was a novelty and we loved being on the creek and with our own personal beach. The property had everything we could want for and we had a very relaxing time just admiring the view and floating along with the tide.
A very special place. The view from the deck is breathtaking. This is our second stay here and we have rebooked for next year. If you love nature, stunning sunrises, swimming and serenity then you will love this house.
Such a spectacular position on the water. Amazing views from the deck and every room. The house and kitchen had everything we needed. Our dog loved the secluded beach for regular walks. A fantastic short break.
Great weekend getaway.Boat was an additional adventure with in itself. The view spectacular from the deck .Kitchen well equipped just need to clean the windows.
Fantastic stay, difficult rowing back following a storm
Everything was excellent, would stay again. The day of check out there was a big storm and the current was very strong and rowing back was very difficult as the current pushed us off the bank before we could get out of the boat.
Keep in mind if you are a family with very little ones that you have to cross the river which is not an easy exercise . Once on the other side it is great. Location is perfect.
We enjoyed our stay in this property very much. This is an excellent holiday house for a relaxing stay. The location is magnificent. The property located across Patonga Creek, and is accessible only by boat. The only civilisation visible from the property is the rather sleepy village of Patonga. Otherwise, guests can only see the unspoilt bush of the Central Coast.
Book us in again! Two nights were not enough! A beautiful place to relax and reconnect! Part of the fun is rowing across to the rental. At night it’s magical after a yummy dinner at the pub! 100% recommend this chilled lovely house!
I wanted to revive some childhood memories, and, in this the break was totally successful. I had spent the first 15 years of my life, just 8 houses around the creek from this property, and wanted to see just how the area had changed in the last 60 years (not much).. However, at 76 I did have difficulty with the steep sand bank/s (low tides) and steps to the house. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the break and would highly recommend it to anyone. Warren
Absolutely fantastic!! Amazing water views from every window!! The house was exceptionally clean, full of quality appliances and had all the little essentials to get you through.
We will definitely be returning. Thank you for letting us share your house. We will definitely be returning.
The photos on the Stayz site do not do the view justice.
After climbing stairs & reaching the deck we were amazed by the gorgeous view.
Hans was wonderful transporting us across the creek & lifting our luggage in & out of the boat
The house was very well equipped & we enjoyed paddling the kayaks up the creek.
We will definitely be back.
