Our family of 8 including 2 from America couldn't have asked for more. The house was perfect, the surroundings spectacula. Each morning we were greeted by up to 30 parrots at the back door waiting for there breakfast that was supplied by our host. My 9 year old grandson was in ore of the surroundings as we all were. We will return in the future and hopefully sight one of the wombats preasent. Thank you Suzzane hop to be back
Such a warm property with extraordinary views! We had such a lovely time, got greeted by kangaroos and birdlife and enjoyed a bit of Australia with some international guests. The provided outdoor activities were wonderful for the children as the adults enjoyed the view and company. Will definitely be going again!
Stayed here for 3 nights for a family wedding at Dry Ridge Winery. Beautiful space and so relaxing. Lovely walks and wild life around the place. Home away from home Thankyou 💜

A fantastic stay, as always...
This is such a lovely, lovely property in such an amazing part of the world. It is exactly a 'million miles' from anywhere stressful! Suzie and Steve are fabulous hosts, also. Friendly, warm and very responsive.
The house and property were gorgeous and equipped with all the things including stuff we wouldn't have thought of. Suzanne let us hold our small wedding there and it was the best weekend of our lives!

Wonderful property in a stunning location!
We stayed at Zoella's during the 2nd weekend of July and had an amazing weekend. We were 4 couples, so comfortably accommodated in the 4 bedrooms, and were pleasantly surprised by the super-equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils, crockery & cutlery for all 8 of us (& then some). The location is absolutely magical - with stunning views, fresh air and plenty of birds & animals to keep company. The house is very comfortable, well-appointed and equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed brisk walks all around the property & had fun interacting with the cheeky and inquisitive kookaburras and other birds. A couple of us saw a huge wombat ambling along near the rear of the house on the first night, and others saw wallabies during the walks. We all brought plenty of warm clothes along, but hardly needed them, as the fireplace kept the whole house more than warm enough. The owner was very accommodating when we left our phone charger behind and had it delivered to us within a few days - customer service at its best! The only thing that would enhance the experience would be an additional toilet/bathroom as 1 between 8 adults meant a few impatient queue-ups in the morning... We cannot recommend the property highly enough & would love to visit again!

I'm moving in
Loved this place. Would have secretly moved in if I thought I could get away with it. Incredibly peaceful location with spectacular views.
Only took 1.5 hours from home but felt like a world away from Sydney's nonsense. Loved the constant parade of native animal and birds (make sure you put the provided seed out every day and you will be rewarded!).
Spotted wallabies (with joeys), roos, cockatoos, king parrots, kookaburras, eagles, a red bellied black snake and scores of Christmas beetles. Haven't seen them in Sydney for years! The wombats remained elusive, but I did spot the poo so they're there.
Make sure you take a walk through the bush beyond the BMX track. You'll come across a fantastic rock ledge with a mosaic on it and you can sit up there and get very zen.
The home itself was very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything. And it's spotlessly clean. Like I said, I'd still be hiding out in one of the bedrooms if I could.
The two city oodles also loved this place. Didn't know what to do with themselves with all the space to explore.
I'd definitely recommend this place - but no booking it out because I want to come back regularly.
We had an amazing time during our stay, from organizing details with the hosts until we left the property. The house is large, full of character and very clean. Communication with the hosts was always on point and immediate when required, and whole experience was just amazing. The nature, the area, being surrounded by mountains and trees and walking out into the magnificent property and the land was absolutely priceless. Daily sightings of wallabies, kangaroos, unusual birds we’ve never seen in Sydney, and magic all around us. I was very sad leaving indeed.
Loved the lounge room and fireplace over looking the deck and amazing views. Quite and peaceful with an abundance of wildlife. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
My family and i had a lovely stay at Zoellas for 3 nights this week..
From the moment we arrived we were met with wallabies and rosella and there was endless wildlife to enjoy watching..
The property is remote which is what we were after, nothing but the sound of silence and nature..(but still only a 10min drive to The Tea House)
The house is very well equipped with every kind of kitchen utensil on offer and endless board games for the kids..The piano and guitar were a lovely addition for us..Walks on the property to the giant rocks and caves were also a highlight of our stay (especially for our 6 and 7yr old kids)..
Zoellas is comforting, warm and inviting.
The property is very private and lent itself to the relaxing weekend we all had in mind.
Suzanne is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to make her guests feel welcome. I highly recommend staying at Zoellas in Megalong Valley.
Zoellas was the perfect place for a family weekend away. Directions were clear to get to the property, even if the rain made the roads a little more exciting! Once we were there, we didn't want to leave. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views, take walks on the property and enjoy the cooler weather.
We were attending wedding at Dryridge Estate and it was an easy drive (although roads were quite chewed up from recent rains) to the estate. Nice, quiet getaway.
We loved staying here- the valley is magical- amazing views and atmosphere. Well equipped and welcoming homely house with great verandah. Warmer than Blackheath and we ended up leaving the door open at night despite no fly screens in bedroom. Great for family reunion.

About the host
Hosted by Suzi
We're a family of 4 with 2 kids who live in Sydney. We spent 2 wonderful years living at the property before the kids started high school. We love the outdoors and are slowly nibbling away at the property to make it more accessible but we just love coming here to escape the city and are very happy to be able to share it with other people.
Why they chose this property
The property is hard to capture on photographs. There is a and tranquility about it which you can only experience by being there. There's so much space to relax and spend time with friends and family but enough different areas to have me time too. The wildlife is amazing with regular visits from wallabies and wombats, amazing birds and the occasional echidna if you are lucky. The days pass with an ever changing array of sounds of the bush and sights as the weather rolls around the mountains. It is typically 5-10 degrees warmer in the valley than up in the towns of the mountains so while it may be freezing in Blackheath, we can be enjoying balmy sunshine in the valley. It is a place to truly relax and unwind, surrounded by the beauty of the bush and with space to explore and run around, or just sit and take it all in while you recharge.
What makes this property unique
Peace and tranquility, amazing views, wildlife visiting every day, fabulous birdlife, stunning night skies, red rocks of the escarpment at sunset.
