The cabin was simply beautiful. Despite inclement weather we still enjoyed the outdoor deck. The kitchen was well equippped and the Blackstone Grill came in very handy for breakfast and dinner! This was a "guy camp trip" but we'd love to come back and bring our spouses in the future.
Repeat vacation at Bear Lodge .. great place and love the town. great get away and snow was everywhere which made the vacation perfect. Great place and well maintained... just a few details of opportunities.. we could not get the tv to run pay for preview movies.. would of been nice.. and a large pan for cooking large dinners (roast pan). otherwise great vacation!
Beautiful place to hang out with friends and family - play games in the living room, heated garage, basement, or outside on the hill. I gave the cleanliness less than 5 only because of the ladybug situation - dead and live bugs. We plan to return.
We had a wonderful time at the house. This might be our favorite Christmas trip so far. The only issue we had was the key wasn’t in the lock box, but that was resolved very quickly. We had plenty of areas to get some hikes thru the days.
Had a fantastic week at the lodge with our adult children and preschool grandchildren. The kids LOVED running everywhere ! Even had fantastic whole family hide and seek. Explored some local sites, but also just enjoyed the property. The ac units upstairs were so welcome. It got a bit uncomfortable heatwise inside, but overall it cooled down enough for sleeping. We ate every meal on
the porch. Once we started seeing bear, we saw them 5 different times! Everything was thoughtfully stocked and we'd love to return one day. The hardest thing to figure out was regulating the hot and cold on the upstairs and downstairs showers. Stargazing is a must.

Had a great time, thought it would be fun to play quates in the yard but I guess the owner thinks $250. Damage charge would make the grass grow again,,,,wouldn't recommend this cabin
We were all fascinated with this beautiful cabin. It is large and I think that more than 12 people would be fine. There were 10 of us and a dog. The stay was incredible. We will definitely return. We were also lucky enough to see bears in the distance by the small lake there. I would also like to mention that if the terrain was more even we could have played soccer, but since it is not flat, we couldn't hahaha, but even so, we were happy there. A great place, 100% recommended.
In the middle of hills, there is a beautiful lodge/mini-hotel where you can hang out and play games, sled and slide, hike, and eat & drink.
The power went out on us for a night. But, we fortunately brought lanterns, used the fireplace, and melted snow to flush the toilets.
We rebooked for next year.
This cabin was amazing! Modern amenities but the rural and isolation to get away! The cabin was clean and spacious! Unfortunately some of party couldn't attend so the place was even more spacious! We were able to see the stars for 2 nights and then we got about 4 inches of snow over the next!
Highly recommend!
For starters, the place is incredibly clean. The amenities cover everything you should need. Communication with the owner was excellent and his responsiveness was better than we could hope for. The location is remote and the home is rustic but modern. We literally could not have asked for anything better for our holiday destination gathering for our family that is in multiple locations around the country. Would stay here again, no question!
This is a beautiful log home retreat. Enjoyed just relaxing on the huge wrap-around porch.
Lots of things to do such as hiking, bird watching" Eagle perched in tree by pond", and golfing.
Great place to stay. Planning to return next year.
Luxury cabin nestled back in the Wilds of PA. Tons of room for all of our family. Everyone enjoyed the immaculate accommodations. Lightly rained the entire time we were there, but with plenty of room inside and tons of outdoor covered deck space, we still had a great time. The location is quite rural (just what we were looking for as long-time visitors of the Black Forest area in PA), so be prepared. Sam was easy to communicate with and the check-in/check-out process was very simple. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat... with everything you could possibly want in a house.
