Redwing Shearers Quarters is an 1860's shearers residence which has been fully restored. Situated on a working farm only a short drive from Moonta on The Copper Coast, Redwing Shearers Quarters is the perfect place to bring the family for some fun, fresh air and relaxation!
Redwing Shearers Quarters is a two bedroom shearers residence which has been fully renovated to ooze character, but still has all the modern conveniences, including flat screen TV/DVD, two person spa, reverse cycle air conditioning, combustion fireplace, laundry, barbecue and much more. The first bedroom is a queen size, while the second can be either 2 singles, or a king bed. There is a single foldout bed available for hire and also a portacot.
As well as a gorgeous front rose garden, there is a very spacious, fully fenced backyard with lawned area and unique gazebo made from a farm silo! Perfect to relax in while the kids run around and feed the animals.

You can spend your time relaxing at Redwing, strolling the farm or feeding the animals. Otherwise why not head to the Copper Coast, or even do a daytrip to Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park.

So relaxed and just felt like home

Loved the cottage charm and history of the building. The Shearer's Quarters has been beautifully decorated. Our daughter was lucky enough to celebrate her 5th Birthday at Redwing and plus stay a couple of nights together as a family. We all loved the animal experience and opportunity to feed and interact with them. We'll be back and want to try out the barn accommodation next.

Beautiful

The property was beautiful. Nice and clean with very comfortable beds. The aircon was great in a very hot time. Fantastic that we could do some washing.

Very disappointed....

We had a 2 day booking at Redwing and cut our stay to just one night due to the poor standard of facilities. The temperature inside the cottage was baking hot even with the fairly useless airconditioning on! The main bedroom had no cooling whatsoever and we had to sleep in the twin bedroom, where the beds were like slabs of granite, and were strangely loaded up with quilts and electric blankets. The floors and walls were covered in bugs and the bathroom was fairly dusty and dirty. All in all a pretty awful experience, with pretty poor excuses from the owner who wasn’t willing to listen to any feedback. Would not recommend!

Great family farmstay

We really enjoyed our visit. The property was a lovely mix of country and eclectic styling, was clean, had all the facilities you need and was comfortable. Highly recommended for parents with young children, as the property has a number of animals which are pets that the children can visit and feed. Moonta approx. 15 min drive.

Can't wait to stay again!

Redwing is a brilliant place for a stay of any length. The owners have thought of absolutely everything and made the stay an absolute dream. Our kids loved the animals and looked forward to feeding them everyday. The Shearer's Quarters was impeccably clean and spacious. We will be back at the first chance.

Great stay

Wasn't entirely sure what to expect but it ended up being a very quaint cottage with all needs met. The building had been nicely renovated inside. There were plenty of animals around neatly kept who were friendly and happy for a feed. 15 minutes drive to Moonta and the beach wasn't too bad. Overall we had a good relaxing stay as a young couple.
