We loved staying here. Highlights : Spa, fireplace, the breakfast items, isolationLowlights : nothing reallyWe stayed for two night. The nighttime stars were awesome, coming back after a hard day touring wineries to relax in the spa was especially tough :-). Comms from the owner was excellent. The thoughtful breakfast items and champagne were much appreciated. Beds were very comfy and the fireplace and electric blankets kept us snug. Overall would highly recommend for one of two couples visiting the area
Nice place to stay, quiet and lovely natural view, the breakfast provided was great. The spa was a plus. Great communication and service from the Host. Thanks.
Beautiful quiet place and absolutely gorgeous view and wildlife visiting
House is immaculate and everything required is their for comfortable stay
The children didn’t want to leave
Enjoyed the wonderful isolation of the property, we were able to escape completely.
Absolutely everything we needed.
The spa provides the perfect environment to relax.
The cottage was beautifully presented. When the fridge was opened there were cheeses, meats and all the necessities for a cooked breakfast. The bed was comfortable, we both slept very well. My husband and I would highly recommend you staying.
A small cottage in a beautiful bush setting. The Spa is what makes this place. Inside the floors were filthy when we arrived and I had to vacuum and mop, water was black just from kitchen! Mouse poop in all kitchen cupboards on dishes & in pots & bedroom cupboards. dead mouse next to fridge along with empty cracker wrappers that were not ours.Bathroom amenities were gross, old curtain and just pump bottle of shower wash, sticky packets of hand soap & a bleach stained facewasher for a handtowel. Whilst lots of towels provided for spa these were old & rough & very stained even after I washed them. Washer leaked everywhere and dryer filter was FULL of lint, didn't end up using it.Lots of breakfast provisions provided which was great and bottle of non-local wine and cheeses was appreciated. We didn't know this property was a part of an estate as no mention of that on the booking, owner gave us mis-information re Wifi, kitchen provisions & a Pool Table, this is all in the main house not the cottage although the ad lists a pool table specifically at the cottage, kids were a bit disappointed. No mention of other rental on property but we had people walking by the yard a lot & lots of cars coming and going to the main house so wasn't as private as it sounded. A welcome booklet with instructions for spa, fireplace, rubbish or info on local wineries would've been very helpful. No kitchen basics e.g. cooking oil/paper towels, an no wifi or mobile network.

I knew you were really disappointed that there was no billiard table. The cottage site has no mention of one being there. I
expected a bad review, though not one so elaborate. All my other reviews are somewhat different. Best i let them speak for themselves.
The setting was beautiful & the fibro majestic cottage was snug & comfy. We enjoyed waking up to bird calls & watching the deer eating the grass just outside the bedroom window.
We spent one of our days there just reading in the big leather sofas & poking around the garden & surrounds. That night we had a BBQ, soaked in the hot tub & enjoyed watching the sun go down.

A weekend in Claire
Overall we would recommend this property, a very quiet location, but a few matters could have been better. The electric blanket was not secured on the bed and had slipped down and to one side meaning one person was laying on the cable connection. This could be dangerous. We had to remake the bed. A Nespresso machine and plunger were provided but there were no pods or grounds. The Nespresso contained coffee dregs and use pods.
Our tech's were not satisfied with the cleaning of the premises. They found the shed a bit dilapidated, there were no chemicals for the spa. Inside the cottage it was nice but facilities were substandard. The entrance of this cottage was reached by a dirt track which was slippery due to the rainy weather, which wasn't pleasant at all.

Hi dilsee, as you would have now seen my review which stated I would not be willing to take a booking again from you or as it turns out your employees. My review being done before I could read yours. I was concerned about people going into my shed and the other accommodation on the property unannounced. They should have contacted me through vrbo so i could help them. Plus not returning phone calls when asked. Having not stayed your review was done by what they told you. Maybe you should look up other review's on the property before posting yours on hear say alone.
There isn't a dirt track to the property. I do not leave spa chemicals for people to use in the cottage. It could be dangerous and wrong of me to do so.The spa is done before people arrive The facilities are well kept and in good condition . I have never heard substandard before, just the opposite. I am aware after 20 years of doing bnb i cannot make everyone happy. Regards Adrian
We had a fantastic stay at this property and would highly reccomend for couples. The location is spot on seeing kangaroos, possums and bird life. The provisions were fantastic. So quiet and peaceful we were recharged ready to tackle life after leaving!!
We absolutely loved our stay at Mount Charmal cottage, it was secluded enough to relax but still be able to use pulic transport! Was lovely to find wine and cheese platter accompaniments in the fridge when we arrived and we made use of the fireplace on our final night there! We will be back!
Beautiful rural setting close to Clare but in an idyllic property. If you’re young and fit it’s a bush walker’s paradise. If you still love the outdoors but find it harder to get around this is also perfect. Every window has a view, birdlife abounds and plenty of spots to watch the day change. Loved it!!
We enjoyed our 2night stay. From the city to cottage took 1.45hrs. Adrian had set up the cottage including getting the spa ready; to the lovely food supplied for our stay. We only left for a short time Saturday morning to explore the surroundings and couldn't wait to get back to the quite and peaceful cottage. The aircon worked well. Next visit will be planned during winter to enable use of the fireplace.
Thankfully Adrian for providing this home for others like us to enjoy on occasions.
Had the best romantic weekend away with my partner for my birthday the cottage was everything we wanted and needed :) will be telling everyone about this little gem! Thankyou so much for allowing us to stay it was perfect and couldn't have asked for anything better.
