Amazing views, great garden.

Very nice place. Driveway is steep and tight if you have a large boat it is challenging but still possible. We had a very nice stay. Would love access to private road nearby to get to Lake but had to drive around and use public ramps.

Aus weekend away

We loved the house, everything was perfect managed to our boat up the drive way which we originally thought would not happen. Heaps of boat ramps within a 5 minute drive. The host of the house was easy to deal. We can not wait to come back Thank you

Nice and Clean

We stayed 5 nights in January, the house was clean and comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and nice view to the bay. The minor issue was the fan provided wasn’t enough to cool the bed rooms in the down stairs on warmer days.Some of the doors doesn’t close properlyThe location was perfect, quiet and peaceful. The host was easy to contact and quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall that was a wonderful stay.

Girls getaway Dec 2023

The owner gave us good instructions and found property easily. Great view to Lake Eildon, Goughs Bay. Living area was spacious and plenty of room on couch for 5 adults. outside furniture also plentiful. All the beds were comfy and bathrooms clean. Good size fridge and dishwasher and good size TV which had the apps for streaming services if needed. Didnt use the second living area but it looked great for teens and kids. House needs a bit of maintenance but on the whole a great stay.

Perfect for a weekend at the snow

House is well setup for two families with everything you need. Clean and with enough space for everybody. About an hour drive up to Mt. Buller which makes this property an ideal place for families looking for somewhere to stay for a snow trip. The fireplace is nice and with a whole shed full of wood you won't freeze. Split systems are also installed. Telstra phone reception is good aswell. Gerard is friendly and had no trouble contacting him when needed. We had an awesome time, only wish it was longer. We will be back.

Disappointing experience with the owners tarnished the stay. Will not return again.

Location is pretty and handy for driving to Mt Bulla. View from the balcony is beautiful and our boys enjoyed feeding the birds and playing in the garden. Overall the house was well setup with everything you need. There was a constant stream of ants in the upstairs bathroom and the sheets were dirty in one of the bedrooms. Very frustrating about the lack of internet connection and wifi, especially for people that run their own business. Unfortunately we had a less than pleasant experience with the owners on our second last day. The owners forgot that we had extended our stay by 1 extra day and they inadvertently leased the house to another family. We were out skiing for the day and received an extremely rude message from the owners stating that if we did not remove our belongings from the property immediately they would instruct the cleaners to put everything outside, even if it was raining!!! The apology we got when they realised it was in fact their mistake for double booking was almost non existent. Very disappointing customer service.

Thank you for your review Tanya. Sorry to hear about the mishap with the new Homeaway booking system. Unfortunately the new system did not pick up on your extra discounted nights stay and I have discussed this with the admin team. They apologies for the bug in the system. I believe it has been resolved. As regards wi-fi we are unfortunately unable to have this installed as we are in fact in a recognised Telstra black spot for fixed line service. It remains a challenge for many rural properties in Australia, one we hope will be addressed by the NBN roll out in the future. We do receive Telstra 5 G at the house and it is definitely possible to create a wireless hot spot using your smart phone or other such enabled device. Upload and download speeds are actually very good when used in this way. We are unaware of any ongoing issue with ants and the property is professionally treated every year by Flyco so I assume this is a one off (possible during wet weather) as no issue has been reported by our property manager.

Holiday in the High Country

We all loved feeding the birds, great views , the house was lovely and clean, yard maintainance could proberly wait till guests have left, the only down side was that the siding doors need some fixing as can be hard to open, nice and close to everything.

Thank you Philip. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Our gardener does not normally attend the property on the weekend. We do have a lot of beautiful gardens and bees that need regular maintenance. The door is due to be fixed mid July.

We have always issued full refunds when requested by the guest prior to their stay. We made several attempts to contact this guest to ensure they were able to travel and following Government requirements. At the time of this booking regional Victoria was able to visit our area and we were not aware of where the guest resided. The guest failed to respond to all our messages and on the day of departure requested a full refund. We had prepared our home in readiness for the guest and issued the guest with access information. If any guests wish to cancel their trips due to restrictions not allowing them to travel, we have always issued a full refund when we are notified prior to their stay. However, notifying us that you don’t intend to stay AFTER you were meant to have vacated our home is very poor communication on the guests behalf. At the time of this booking, other guests could have enjoyed our lovely home as regional Victoria were welcome in the region. In the past we have issued full refunds on the day guests were due to arrive when snap lockdowns were implemented. Most recently when Melbourne went into lockdown we have issued a refund as late as 6pm on the day of arrival. But asking for a refund after you were due to check out is not reasonable. Absolutely amazing

We absolutely loved our time at this property. It has the most beautiful views and we loved exploring the gardens. So nice to sit on the deck and see the stars at night. You could not ask for a better host. Gerard was so responsive. He made sure our stay was perfect. No issues what so ever. We honestly didn't want to leave. Such a great spot.

Lovely spot

Our family enjoyed our stay here. Nice clean house, comfy sofa, beautiful views, and a good kitchen. It was close enough to town to make picking up groceries & takeaway easy. I’d definitely recommend this accommodation.
