Unique loft-style accommodation in a self-contained house with private garden and fabulous views. Located on a 125 acre cattle and horse breeding property, The Mews is quiet, comfortable and convenient. The Mews sleeps a maximum of 8 guests.

Centrally located to Assumption College and The International School at Kilmore, the State Motorcycle Centre at Broadford, Kilmore Racetrack and the wine regions of Heathcote, Avenel and Nagambie. Easy distance to the Venture Polo at Clonbinane.

Stay on the land for a while, visiting local farmers' markets at Lancefield and Tallarook. Enjoy a beer and counter meal at Mac's Irish Pub Kilmore, or further afield the Tooborac Hotel & Brewery about 20 minutes north and only a short drive to the Avenel and Heathcote wine districts.

Superb bird watching, native flora and fauna both on the property and nearby surrounds. Private walking trails and picnic spots. A shuttle service can be arranged between The Mews and Kilmore East railway station.

Enjoy a pet-friendly stay only 1 hour north of central Melbourne. "The Mews - Charan Hills" offers a weekend getaway with a difference in this beautiful part of central Victoria.

Pet Friendly & Fully Fenced - Ideal Location

The Mews contains:

Upstairs;
Mezzanine. Queen bed, doona, electric blanket.
Bedroom 2. Queen bed, electric blanket, wardrobe.
Bedroom 3. Four single beds, electric blankets and lots of room.

Ground Level;
Bathroom with separate bath and shower.
Kitchen, dining & family. Fully equipped modern kitchen with fan-forced oven & glass cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator. Dining table to seat 8 and comfy lounges. TV, DVD/CD & stereo. Wood heater & reverse cycle air conditioning.
Full laundry with washing machine & dryer.

Outside;
Verandah, outdoor furniture, gas BBQ, fully fenced yard. Carport plus plenty of additional parking space and other undercover areas.

The base price is for 2 guests. There is a nightly surcharge for extra guests including children. We do not provide cots or highchairs for infants so there is no surcharge for infants if you provide your own portacot.

Please note minimum booking periods apply to long weekends, Melbourne Cup, Easter and Christmas holidays

My Family and I were in kilmore for a very heartbreaking situation, the host couldn't of been any nicer & the property itself brought us a sense of calm during all the chaos. My family & I will become regular visitors. I highly recommend spending time amongst nature at The Mews.

It's a great location and very scenic. The dog loved it with the completely fenced yard (as I did). Everything was beautifully clean. Communication with the host was also very good. Pretty and peaceful

Highly recommend this property for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday with their dog. Lots of space and animal activity kept our pooch happy, and we had no trouble finding dog-friendly places to eat out in Kilmore and nearby towns. The house itself is cute as a button. We slept well, and enjoyed the restful views. Anne and family are terrific hosts and we would happily stay again.

Paradise!

Such a beautiful getaway from the usual business that city life brings. The property and surrounding area was such a delight, the home was clean and modern whilst still offering a unique charm. Our dog loved having the large yard to run around and even see some horses! Would definitely recommend and we're already thinking when can we get back!

The house is amazing. It is fully equipped. Easy to get to and very clean and comfortable. As we had teenagers and I had to do a bit of work while i was away, we needed better wifi. In the end we focused on non IT things. We had a deck of cards and that was a perfect way to spend time together in the evenings.

The perfect country stay

We had such a great time staying at this little country getaway! The drive up to the house sets the scene perfectly with horses everywhere. Can't wait to stay in summer when the roses and wisteria are blooming! Had everything we needed and Anne was lovely bringing us more firewood. Sorry about the broken pot, my partner went to put the shovel for the fireplace in there and it broke in half, let me know if we need to reimburse for that! Will definitely be back :)

Lovely location, great for dogs with enclosed space to run around in. House was pretty much as advertised. The bedding and sheets were clean and house generally clean, however really needed a spring clean with dust etc. Was disappointed with gas bbq, especially as had checked prior. The bbq especially as incredibly dirty, and barely usable, probably time for the bin.
