About this property
Plan your reunion/gathering now in beautiful rural South Central Wisconsin
The Oak House, located on Arington Tree Farm, is an upscale and luxurious home, with a beautiful and secluded setting. The open floor plan, exquisite craftsmanship, and top quality furniture serve as the perfect backdrop for a family gathering, or friend reunion. We may be biased, but we're sure you won't find a home this beautiful, on a setting this serene, on this side of the Mississippi.
The Oak House is tucked away on 660 acres of rolling farmland, with open prairies, beautiful woodlands, stunning views, and multiple porches to enjoy a birds eye view of the sunset. It's a relaxing and peaceful retreat, where family and friends can gather.
It was built in 2004, and features all the comforts of home.
There are two master bedrooms, both with king size beds, and private baths. One master offers a whirlpool tub, and walk in shower. The other a standard tub and shower.
The other four bedrooms offer a king bed, with a private toilet and shared shower, a queen bed with a private toilet and shared shower, two full sized beds with a shared shower, and a queen bed with a shared shower.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you may need to create and serve a home cooked meal. The dining room provides a beautiful live edge table, made by our arborist, using wood from our farm. The table seats 10. There is also a counter that seats 6. Extra chairs are provided throughout the home, if more seating is needed.
The spacious layout also provides 2 living-rooms, both with gas fireplaces, a craft/game room, a laundry room, a screened in porch, and so much more.
Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy our walking paths, creek crossings, and run-ins with wildlife.
The home also includes a fire pit, grill, patio, basketball hoop, ping pong table, 2 fat tire bikes, and hot tub.
A large private backyard, surrounded by tall hardwood forest, provides the perfect backdrop for watching the sunset, bird watching, bocce ball, or singing songs around a fire.
The property is 5 miles from downtown Cambridge. Cambridge, Wisconsin, has become one of the best kept secrets in the state, for outdoor recreational opportunities. In fact, one of the most technical single-track off-road mountain bike trails is located just 2 miles south of Cambridge, in CamRock Park. CamRock Park also offers hiking, birding, and in the winter, cross county skiing and sledding. Cambridge is also home to Lake Ripley, a wonderful lake, perfect for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, or simply a day of swimming and relaxation on the beach. Downtown there are specialty shops, multiple restaurants, coffee shops, and the Piggly Wiggly grocery store.
Madison, home of the UW Badgers, and one of the greatest Farmers' Markets, is a short 20 minutes away from the property. The restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and outdoor experiences are endless.
We love this corner of Wisconsin: the peacefulness of a rural home, with urban amenities only a short driving distance away. You'll be so happy and at home here, you may decide to extend your stay. Come and see for yourself. You'll be glad you did.
