About this property

Beautiful Historic Hotel in the Hunter Valley

The Abermain hotel is a beautifully restored 115 year old bar and hotel. It is conveniently located only 15 mins from the heart of the vineyards and only two hours drive from Sydney. With ten newly renovated rooms ranging from double rooms to family rooms, we can accommodate up to 35 people. The hotel also has a lovely beer garden, bistro, public bar downstairs which are open to the public. With everything at our doorstep it’s the perfect location for a weekend getaway with family friends and or even a corporate team building event.
**Please note** that we only accept bookings for the entire accommodation space, which means all 10 rooms must be booked. The bar and bistro are open to the public at all times. This is a licenced venue so we do not allow any food or alcohol brought in from outside.

A special place for a night with mates

This place is perfect for a large group looking to have fun in the Hunter. Upon booking the owner got in contact with me and helped me select a great tour operator, and was easy to contact for any updates. The pub itself oozes charm and after a day visiting wineries we returned to their amazing beer garden. Great set up, the pub has lots of character and the rooms are super cosy, clean and provided a good night's rest. Highly recommend!

Hidden Gem

This was the place to stay for the large group I had. Fantastic rooms, Great beer garden, Friendly and Accomodating Staff and Owner. Everyone in the group said it was the best weekend and the Abermain Hotel was a massive part of it.

Wedding weekend accommodation

We absolutely loved the stay! We booked for 24 adults to stay for accommodation for a friends wedding nearby. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms are so spacious and clean and the beds so comfortable! The food and range of Belgium beer and passion fruit cider was amazing. Would recommend to book here and will definitely book to come back
