This would have to be one of the best home stays that I have booked, and I have stayed in a lot a true country experience in the gateway to the Barossa,Rebecca has truly thought of everything she is a true super host the property was so peaceful and spotless with old world charm and modern conveniences such a great place to recharge your batteries, everything was supplied even provisions for breakfasts. I can’t speak highly enough of this property,a true 10/10.Thanks again Rebecca for your hospitality.
My partner and 4 year old stayed here. It was cosy and family friendly. Rebecca kindly put up a spare bed for my son. He loved seeing the kangaroos and playing in the creek. We look forward to getting back when we can use the pool.
Absolutely great place to stay. Very quaint little cottage. Very pet friendly,Ziggy and Charlie had a great time exploring the property.Host was amazing, plenty of food provisions.Definatly recommend this place.
The cottage is amazing and has everything you'd hope for. Fireplace, comfy bed, yummy port, amazing views, and the best under floor heating in the bathroom. We stayed there with our two whippets who loved being able to run around and explore. Rebecca was great to contact. 100% would recommend.
The breakfast was excellent including the ability to make fresh bread, the setting was superb and peaceful, listening to the frogs was great, my family enjoyed there stay.
Loved the location ,private but close to many tourist destinations if you wish to venture out.We wanted to chill so just enjoyed the house.warm and cozy accommodation with ample breakfasts was pet friendly, a bonus for our dog
The cottage and barn were beautifullly and thoughtfully presented. The bed linen and towels were of the highest quality and the breakfast items were generous and wonderful. The peace at the cottage was stunning and we were blessed with the visit of a Koala in the tree next to the cottage. The pool was a wonderful treat at the end of the day!
An absolute little slice of heaven — we genuinely didn’t want to leave. From the moment we arrived at Miner’s Cottage, we fell in love with the place. It’s one of the cosiest, most charming cottages we’ve ever stayed in and exactly what we needed to escape the craziness of everyday life.Surrounded by beautiful old gums and Australian bushland, the setting is incredibly peaceful. We spent hours outside with a glass of wine, enjoying the serenity and watching the wildlife wander past. By the end of our stay, we were basically on first-name terms with the locals — unfortunately, most had feathers or fur. The cottage itself has so much warmth and character. It feels authentic, cosy and completely unique, rather than just another accommodation stay. The location is perfect for exploring the Barossa’s wineries, towns and restaurants, yet when you return, it feels like you’ve escaped back into your own private little world. We came for a belated birthday getaway and some much-needed time together, and left relaxed, recharged and genuinely sad to leave. If you’re looking for character, privacy, romance, serenity and that wonderful “where the hell has the rest of the world gone?” feeling, this is it.Five stars doesn’t quite seem enough. We’d come back in a heartbeat.
The accommodation was gorgeous. super comfy, so well set up by the host to make you feel at home. What a location!! It was amazing, peaceful and great energy.. Thank you!
The property was so peaceful and beautiful with stunning gum trees scattered around. All of the accommodation was very well presented with everything we could need. The claw footed bath was luxurious. We had a wonderful stay.
A great place for us. Was very clean and had everything we needed. Hosts were very accommodating of our toddlers, and honest about some elements of the accommodation not being designed for babies. It was a fantastic spot, very unique and a wonderful experience.
Without a doubt one of my the most special places I've ever stayed. It exceptionally exceeded my expectations. Not only does Rebecca and her husband have one of the most beautiful properties, but they are incredibly thoughtful hosts and you can tell that a lot of care has gone into the little details - from premium bedding and bath towels (and robes!), little welcome chocolates and the breakfast ammentities provided, additional blankets for comfy sofa nights etc. etc. all combined for the most magical stay. My personal highlights were the stunning view from the back verandah, sipping my morning coffee out there whilst watching the kangaroos and enjoying the view, and of course the beautiful claw foot bath! 10/10 experience - I can't wait to come back and see the property in every season. A very special corner of the world
