** Chavez House is available for 28 night minimum for the month of August ONLY. Live like a local!

THE PROPERTY: By bringing the outdoors in, this home allows you to live like a true Floridian. The fenced yard provides you with privacy to enjoy your pool. Sun yourself on the lounge chairs or dine under the stars. And if that isn’t enough, you can enjoy life on the lanai. Read a book, take a nap, or keep an eye on the kiddos while they splash in the pool. Comfortable furnishings and a vaulted ceiling with tropical fan, make this a great outdoor gathering spot for family and friends.

As you enter the home’s first floor, you will find hardwood floors, the family room, dining room, kitchen, primary bedroom, and bath. Your king bedroom is to the left of the entry’s staircase. It is beautifully furnished, includes nightstands and bedside lamps as well as Dade County pine wall accents. A TV, ceiling fan and large dresser provide all the comforts of home. Its distinctive bath design allows you to open it to the kitchen or close it to use as your private ensuite. It includes a large vanity with dual sinks, a tub/shower combination and is adjoined to the pedestal sink room. The family room is to the right of the entry and leads back to the dining room and kitchen. The room is flooded with natural light, has plenty of seating for the family, a TV, and stunning wall art. Heading back towards the fabulous dining room, you will find seating for six and a sideboard for storage. From the DR you may access the lanai as well as the kitchen. Stainless steel appliances, white quartz countertops and a vaulted, shiplap-style ceiling add to the volume of this space. French doors lead to the pool and outdoor dining area. The convenient kitchen breakfast bar with seating for four, doubles as an island and includes a pass-through window to the lanai. It’s as easy as can be to prepare meals or snacks and enjoy them outdoors, Key West style!

Ascend the beautiful wrap around staircase to the second-floor queen bedrooms and bath. The first bedroom is bright and cheery. The barn door closet and vaulted ceiling will charm you. Nightstands with bedside lamps, a wall TV, ceiling fan and dresser round out this room. The second queen bedroom is also bright and cheery and includes nightstands, bedside lamps, and a TV. Store your things in the louver door closet or open shelf dresser. Work or school from home in this room with a desk and task lighting. Your stay in this historic home will leave you with lasting memories of life in Old Town, Key West.

BED CONFIGURATION: The first floor includes a primary king bedroom and large hall bath with dual sinks and tub/shower combination. The second-floor queen bedrooms share a hall bathroom with vanity sink and tub/shower combination.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES: The pool with waterfall feature is heated seasonally (November through April) for an additional fee which will be assessed at the time of booking. Decking and lush landscaping surround the pool area where you can sunbathe, grill your dinner or lounge under the lanai.

PARKING: No designated parking. Free street parking in the neighborhood. Note: Do NOT park in parking spaces marked as RESIDENTIAL or PERMIT ONLY.

LOCATION: Old Town north of Truman Ave. Many attractions, historic homes, restaurants, and shops are nearby. From here you can walk to the lure of Duval Street, read humorous epitaphs at the intriguing KW cemetery, and enjoy the Historic Seaport district.

PETS: One (1) dog allowed, up to 25 lbs., for an additional fee and completion of Pet Information addendum. Must be 1 year of age or older. Must be spayed/neutered. All vaccinations must be up to date. Please be advised some breeds are not permitted. Sorry, cats are not allowed.

SMOKING: This is a non-smoking home and property.

Location could not have been better, it was within walking distance to the Hemingway House, the butterfly conservatory, shopping and food.The pool was relaxing after a hot day of exploring! Would definitely recommend staying at the Chavez House.

Great Location! Rented for Fantasy Fest. Rented a golf cart, but it wasn't really needed since the property was so close to Duval. The house was clean, and the pool was nice after a long day in the sun. All 3 bedrooms had A/C, and the bathrooms were great. The kitchen was newly remodeled, and the outside area was great. Would stay again for sure!

I stayed in this house with three friends on our trip to Key West. The house is in a safe, quiet neighborhood but it's just a few block walk (or Uber) to everything Key West has to offer. The private back yard with the pool was the perfect spot to come back and relax in. The beds were comfy, the house was spotless, and the property management team made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this property if you're headed to Key West. You won't be disappointed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic stay at the Chavez House and truly enjoyed our time in Key West! We arrived early and were able to store our luggage at the office, which was incredibly convenient while we walked to Salute for lunch. DeMarco was so friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the staff.The house was exactly as pictured—super clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Eaton Bikes is less than two blocks away, and we highly recommend renting bikes from them to explore the island. We were blessed with beautiful December weather and loved relaxing in the dipping pool each afternoon.We would highly recommend staying at the Chavez House and renting through Historic Key West Vacation Rentals. We can’t wait to visit again next year!

Lovely home, great pool, but the shining star is the management company. I honestly didn’t have any issues but they were so kind and welcoming. Our vacation was amazing and started off on the right foot thanks to them!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Chavez House was the perfect place for a Key West getaway. It's located on a quiet street but walkable to everything. The house was so clean--totally immaculate upon arrival, and it was well stocked with fresh linens, pool towels, and things like dishwasher and laundry pods. Small samples of Bee Kind toiletries were a nice touch (and if you've never used the lemongrass body wash, it is amazing!). The staff at Historic Key West Vacations is friendly and accommodating, and they make renting easy. The beds were comfy, and the decor has a nice beachy vibe. We loved our stay!
