Staying at the cottage was a perfect relaxing holiday ,sean thought of everything from the firewood paper and firlighters plenty of bath towels paper towel water bottle ,and harold the pony loved his carrots was greatfull for the scratches thank you so much sean the cottage was a perfect spot on the gumbower creek
Repeat customers here!We have decided to make "The Grove" our twice yearly getaway as a way to rest and recharge as the property has everything we could possibly want to escape the world for days at a time. Sean goes above and beyond each and everytime we stay, nothing is ever too much trouble and he is always incredibly accomodating to each and every query or request we have. We appreciate so much the affordability of this place as it means we can afford to return biannually and the close proximity to Echuca, Torumbarry weir etc. means there is always something to do if we choose to leave the sanctity of the expansive grounds. A beautiful hidden gem with everything you could possibly think you might need for some breathing space away from the busy working world.
We had an amazing time at the Grove,we wanted to enjoy time as a family as it is so hard to do nowadays with work and two teenager's that lock themselves in there rooms glued to their devices its was great to just enjoy each other's company goi g on the kayaks or having a go at archery or just sitting around the fire playing charades it was a much needed reset that we cannot wait to do again. Thanks Sean and Beth
Loved our stay at the cottage. Stayed with our 2 children and our dog, everyone had a great time. I loved sitting outside and watching the birds. Thanks so much Sean.
The cottage was full of country charm, clean and everything we needed. Perfect base to get out and explore the area and so cosy and comfortable to stay in and relax. The kids had plenty of room to run around and games and activities provided were great. The carrots to feed Harold the pony was a highlight for the kids and adults.Sean was an exceptional host who made checking in super easy and ensured we were comfortable and had plenty of firewood.Highly recommend and can’t wait for our next visit.
Great place to stay on a budget. We appreciated the improvements since our last stay two years ago, with aircon in two bedrooms making the whole house very comfortable in the cold of winter.
My girlfriend and I have been back to this property many times together either alone, with our kids (when they were younger) or with our partner or with our complete families, going back to when Sean's parents ran the properties without a booking platform. We love that its very casual as far as children & pets are concerned and the country home accommodates this casual style, allowing us not to stress over cleanliness and fragility of the cottage. We love the peacefulness & the fact we are left alone whilst knowing Sean is very easily contacted if need be.Our last stay was mid winter and warmth was not a problem. Sean and provided more than enough for the slow combustion wood heater on top of te several split systems and oil heater for the bathroom. We will continue to stay at The Grove as long as it exists.
We were looking for a place to base ourselves while we went birdwatching. It was fabulous. We love staying in old cottages and this lived up to it. Would highly recommend The Grove.
We had a great time staying at The Grove. Sean is a great host, and the house is lovely. We really enjoyed having a fire going in the fireplace and feeding carrots to Harold the pony in the paddock next door
House had lots of old charm but still all the comforts of home. Dogs were intrigued by the cows and goats, Pony was my favourite. Great base to explore the region
