Great quiet farm stay with wonderful cottage ambience of a bygone era.

It was a great place to stay in transit to Tassie with two doggies. The thoughtful addition of a fireplace ready to go was bliss after a long day on the road.

Amazing place

The cottage was comfortable and quaint. It was quiet and clean, very relaxing, much more personal and had more character than staying at a hotel. The surrounding farm was also beautiful. Our host Janet was lovely, and very thoughtful. I would highly recommend it.

Quaint Cosy Cottage

We absolutely loved this cottage. We arrived on a rainy afternoon with wood fire already roaring. Private, quiet and only a short drive to Moss Vale. Jan and Ian lovely hosts. Would love to stay again in the future.

Breakaway Haven

Fire was lit when we arrived which was very much appreciated. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay and wish it could have been a little longer. Friendly welcoming hosts and beautiful Bonnie (their very polite Kelpie :) ). Lovely rural location.

Perfect place to escape

We loved staying at Clonmel Cottage and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Our host, Janet, warmly welcomed us as we arrived and happily helped us with supplies throughout our stay, and she made sure the cottage was warmed up for our arrival. A place where the only noises you hear are those of nature and the resident animals, and beautiful views all around. The cottage itself was very cosy with its own fireplace, and was well supplied. A perfect place to get away from it all.

Home away from home

My dog Zeus and I absolutely love Clonmel Cottage! We've lost count of how many times we've stayed. It's starting to feel like a 2nd home. Janet, Ian and Bonnie are fabulous hosts and we wouldn't change a thing about the cottage. Can't wait to come back. Again! ❤️

Weekender

Very cute cottage. Arrived on a particularly cold day but the fireplace was already going and later, the electric blankets were excellent. We had a very clear night sky so the stars were incredible, and the silence all around was exactly what we wanted. Only complaint would be to say the mattress in the main bedroom felt well past it’s use by date, but all in all it was a lovely, cosy weekend retreat.

Lovely Cozy Cottage

We stayed with two small kids. Spacious 2 bedroom cottage. Toilet and shower was separate outside entrance to the cottage, which was harder with little kids. Not complete toddler friendly with a small step and brick step in living space.

Stop the world - I want to get off - here!

Have you every wanted to find somewhere that slows you down? That allows you to look at the breathtaking milky way in the sky at night, and walk the rambling grounds, perhaps greet a beautiful horse during the day. Where the kitchen bench invites you to make generous, unfussy food. Thoughtful hosts, warm fire, gorgeous bedding, and for us, a happy event (twice) with our dawg.

Are you feeling creative? Need a space to think?

This comfortable generous brick cottage is ready to give you ample space, quiet, varied areas, and even different light to create. Take the time you need to better develop your designs or start anew? Every window has a view to inspire, even the kitchen bench inspires me! (I do like to make flat bread - an artist must eat!) A really special, out of the box bolt hole, ready to let you, be you. Write, draw, sew, paint - this is the place to be. And even better when you can bring your dawg.

Relaxing

It was a relaxing stay with a lovely fireplace to keep us warm despite the cold. The host was friendly and welcoming, Bonnie the dog was very welcoming and adorable. Property was huge and private. Downside - toilet on the verandah that you need to get out in the middle of night in the very cold. Had to have the light on to see where you were going. Otherwise it was great. A lovely cafe nearby that makes fantastic pizza on Tuesday night that was recommended by the host.

Canyonleigh - Clon-Mel Cottage for two nights

Two night stay at cozy Clon-Mel cottage (with my late 70’s and 89 yr old aunts and uncle, and mini schnauzer and poodle) as a stopover returning home from a trip to Victoria. My aunts and uncle were absolutely delighted with the trip back in time. Clon-Mel cottage with its mix of hospitality, antiques, bric a brac and the right amount of kitsch had them pick this cottage as their favourite out of the four more contemporary and diverse holiday homes on this trip. Everything we needed for the stay was available. The outside loo ( on the porch) was a teeny challenge in the single-digit temperatures but added to the overall old school charm of the cottage and was offset by the warmth from the slow-combustion fireplace. Set on 25 acres and only a short drive to all that is on offer across the Southern Highlands it was a great pick for those wanting something not so cookie cutter and those embracing old school hospitality.
