Freda’s Casita is an elegant private retreat for two, thoughtfully prepared with comfort, relaxation and genuine hospitality in mind. The one-bedroom Casita features a queen bed, inviting living room, fully equipped kitchen and a separate private entrance.

Enjoy morning coffee on the porch as the desert comes to life. Spend a leisurely afternoon by the pool, unwind in the private hot tub beneath the stars or share a quiet evening around the fire pit. A grill and indoor fireplace add to the comforts of your stay.

Inside, you’ll find free WiFi, a smart TV, washer and dryer, and thoughtful amenities designed to make your visit feel effortless. Prepare a favorite meal in the well-appointed kitchen, explore nearby hiking trails and local dining, or simply enjoy the peace and privacy of the property.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or seeking a quiet escape together, Freda’s Casita offers a gracious desert retreat where beautiful surroundings, thoughtful details and warm hospitality come together.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Place bagged trash/recyclables outside the front door.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Only guests listed on the reservation may use the pool
No problem having visitors. Please just let us know. $20 per night for additional guests, max overnight of 3 guests total.
An additional charge of $225 will be requested for any additional cleaning, ozone treatment necessary for breaking NO SMOKING RULE.

Susan and Dan have a beautifully decorated home, and treated us like true guests. It was obvious that they care about providing a great experience with the many fine details they had in order to make our stay better. We would absolutely recommend staying here!

Our stay was wonderful from beginning to end. The home was beautiful, peaceful, exceptionally clean, and incredibly comfortable. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, and everything was exactly as described.The host was outstanding—very responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay, which made the entire experience even better.We truly enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The casita is magical! It’s a wonderful place, centrally located to see the surrounding areas. So very clean and inviting with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The pool is amazing and refreshing. Visiting with the donkeys was a nice treat, they are so very sweet. The hosts are very gracious and accommodating. We’d choose Freda’s Casita again and again.

What a fantastic stay! The photos and description don't do the lovely casita justice. We have stayed many places, but this quickly became, hands down, our very favorite. Every amenity we could have ever needed was readily available, the bed was so comfortable, the pool was refreshing and the donkeys were friendly! What a charming spot to relax and recharge after visiting the wonderful AZ sights all around. I wish we could give it more stars..it's certainly deserving!

The casita is PERFECT. Well furnished, comfortable, hospitable and clean. Host is responsive and friendly, the pool is beautiful, the area around the home is quiet and private and the Donkeys are such a treat. The host has stocked the kitchen and bathroom with all necessities you would ever need. I’ve never been to such a well supplied VRBO. It’s easy to access from the highway, but far enough away that you feel like you’re at a retreat in the desert. Highly recommend.

Our stay at this desert casita was everything we hoped for and more. The casita was beautifully designed, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The private pool was the highlight—it was perfect for cooling off during the day after a morning hike right from the property. There is outside seating perfect for unwinding under the stars at night. One of the most memorable parts of the stay was the friendly donkeys on the property. They added so much charm and made the experience feel truly unique. Waking up to the quiet desert landscape and seeing them each day was such a treat.If you're looking for a peaceful escape with a mix of comfort, privacy, and a little bit of desert magic, this is the perfect place. We'd happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

Nicest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. This was our second visit and we’ve already booked our visit for next year. Remote location but easy drive to everywhere. Hosts have thought of everything I. Terms of accommodations and amenities. Too many luxe touches to even mention. Peaceful beautiful surroundings restore one’s soul. We enjoyed feeding the donkeys, taking a dip in the pool, and enjoying the hot tub under the stars.

The apartment was very comfortable for the two of us. The location was amazing with hiking right outside the door. The host, Susan, was so helpful with local suggestions for eating, shopping, hiking, and exploring. She was happy to share her donkeys. They were delightful. I hope to go back and stay again.
