Tidy little 3-bed cottage!

We came up to Townsville for Basketball QLD state championships and were very lucky to have found this lovely little cottage! We only used two of the three bedrooms but the space was welcome and all the essentials were on hand thanks to the owner (incl. soap, towels, pillows & linen, toilet paper and laundry detergent). With a Woolies close by we were set! It was also an absolute blessing to have air conditioning in all the bedrooms and also the living/kitchen/dining room… a must for North QLD heat! Another final note - so many other parents in our group found other places to stay and complained about the noise and nocturnal happenings close by. We just smiled and thought “not for us! Perfect location… 10mins to get anywhere and it’s quiet and peaceful when you want it. Yay for us!” Thank you!!

Absolutely amazing house, everything was clean tidy and well presented. The landlords were fantastic

Would absolutely stay here again, close to the town without being loud. Fantastic quiet neighbours, and the home was immaculate. Couldn't recommend this property any higher 10/10

Central and comfortable

Only 10 minutes or less from everything we needed, the location was ideal. We had 3 adults and 2 kids and it was comfortable. Thoughtful inclusions like good WiFi, laundry detergent and basket and dvds. More hooks in bathroom for towels would be good. Groceries 5 minutes away.

The air conditioners very dated. A very hot house during the day. Could not use it during October to May.

Due to our hot climate we service our Air cons on a regular basis and we do remind people that for the optimal cooling experience all windows and doors should remain closed. Townsville is overly hot for guests not used to our extreme outside temps. October to may is our most popular and busiest time for this house People love it and usually use the conditioners correctly. I will put some more information in the house regarding the optimal use and performance of Air-Conditioning and hopefully that will eliminate this happening again.

Very Clean. Easy to get around from

Older house but very clean. Excellent for our 4 day sporting stay for washing uniforms nightly. Plenty of room for 6 and not be on top of each other. Only 10min from The Strand so found it easy to get around. Only table to seat 6 was outside under back patio but we found it the best place to sit with Townsville temps

Thankyou for the review, this description actually refers to the property guests ended up staying in and not the house they originally enquired about which didn't accommodate the amount of people after guest needed to change booking and add another two guests. So this cottage has plenty of room for 5, still easy to get around and is set up for inside dining.
