Amazing Stay at the Lake

Thoroughly enjoyed our first VRBO experience. The process was easy and smooth. The property was exactly as described. It was clean and actually had more items on property than excited (particularly in the kitchen). Will definitely do this again!

Nice and comfortable, hot tub was ready when we got there bathroom very clean. It was nice .I would love to go back.. only bad side is there is no cellular network out there, no service nothing..so be prepared to not call or talk to anyone..

It does state that they only have Netflix for people who have an account. I made the mistake of not reading the description thoroughly. Only had MPT to watch since the weather wasn't great the time we were there. They do have Internet and it works really well. Everything was great for me just wish it was in a different location and had more channels to watch.

Enjoyable

Beautifully decorated for Christmastime. I liked the location and was perfect area to bring our dog. Everything to do was only a short drive away. Where improvement can be made: When we arrived there were dishes in the dishwasher, blankets left wadded up on the couch and a dirty towel left out. That was obvious items that were forgotten about so it makes you wonder what else was skipped. The house needs a deep cleaning. Cobwebs up high and dust in corners under the furniture. It says to reach out to the property manager office when there are cleanliness issues. When I did about the obvious cleaning issues we were given excuses, which was disappointing.

Bear Paws Cabin B

The cabin was perfect! Very clean & comfortable. All kitchen necessities available with the exception of a cork screw. There was no iron or ironing board so will have to bring one from home...not a big deal. We would definitely come back for another visit!! Loved, loved, loved the deck! Perfect for relaxing while listening to the rain...which we had a lot of during our stay!! Never mind the weather...all was good!!

Nice for weekend. Some things lacking.

There's a resort fee attached to this place. For a "resort fee," one would expect the barbecue grill to work, the internet to work (is DSL the only thing available there?), and there to be 6 chairs at the dining table for the 6 people on the reservation. The property was nice but I was disappointed in the price for what I received.

Payed more for a cabin with air conditioning and it was so cool over the weekend that we didn’t need it. However the one air conditioning unit was super loud so it was a good thing we didn’t need it. Deep Creek very mi e but due to location would not rent this unit in the future

Unfortunately it rained our first 3 days, so hot tub use was minimal. The tub was cloudy, but taken care of when we mentioned it. Also, I would pay more attention to the physical set-up of the building next time. The steps downstairs are right outside the bathroom door... it was very unnerving in the middle of the night 🤤

It wasn't as tucked away into the woods as the pictures make it seem (fairly close to Garret Highway, you can hear the cars driving past), but it was still perfect for what we needed. Signs around the home provide the perfect amount of instruction without being overbearing. While we were hoping to enjoy a snowboarding/skiing weekend at Wisp, we were rained out and happily stayed indoors for the weekend. Bear Paws has a jacuzzi and a lovely outdoor space as well. While I would recommend this location to my friends there are a few things to keep in mind when renting this place: bring your own hand soap, no need to bring additional knives, there are only 2 bedrooms but it can sleep up to 9 people. We were very satisfied with our stay, thank you!

The wifi did not work at all although they did send a tech to try and get it to work. Even if they had gotten it working the technology was so old I am not sure it would have been useful. It still used a dial up dsl modem over a phone line.

Ceiling fan blades and the stuffed bear over the bed in the master were very dusty. Made us feel like we were probably inhaling a lot of dust. Also, could've used some basic amenities you would find in a regular hotel room such as a hair dryer, clothes iron and hand soap. We were afraid to turn on the gas grill bc the burner was so badly rusted we were afraid it would start a fire. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed our stay, those things just would've helped a lot. We really liked having the smart TVs and the fact it was private and very quiet.

There was bird droppings covering the chairs, cobwebs, and debris as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while. We had top call and have the hot tube drained and cleaned as well the first day. The inside of the cabin was really clean and nice.

The only downfall was the cell reception and wifi but it's a cabin, who needs to be on their phone constantly. We took a trip over to Swallow Falls, about 10-15 minutes from the cabin. I suggest everyone go there! We had a little issue with the neighbors next to the property but that could happen anywhere. Would definitely rent again!

Comic-Tragic

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1. First place in poor shape, not so clean. Then, well went dry 2. Two maintenance guys very thorough and helpful (Joey and head). Matt did not bother to flush commode twice, which would have told him well was dry. 3. Office staff worked hard to be helpful, find us a new place, and make things right. Too bad Kristin was constrained by corporate policy to first try to keep us in the place with a dry well. Result, an additional 3 hours of delay, frustration, and unhappiness 4. "Make up" restaurant gift certificates no longer accepted at the restaurant, but Chris has promised reimbursement. That may be a problem with the restaurant. 5.Second place was a great improvement- clean, in good condition. Bottom line, we don't spend our vacation money and time to work out problems with the rental and priocess of getting it resolved.
