"Coasting" is family style classic beach house accomodation set in leafy surrounds in a quiet part of town. There is room to relax in the shaded backyard, on the front porch or take over the couch and chill out with the LG flat screen and a movie.
As a well travelled family we have seen the best of what families need and brought it all together here for you to enjoy.
A fully equipped kitchen to cook up a storm for the family or create a romantic interlude for two.
There is a shaded Gazebo in the backyard and a 5 burner hooded BBQ to satisfy the quintessential holiday steak sizzle or a late morning bunch fry-up.
All Linen is supplied because holidays are not about taking your house with you. A washing machine and dryer are supplied as is ironing board and iron to get ready to hit the town.
Three bedrooms with 2 bathrooms gives everyone space to themselves. There is even a sunroom with books and some assorted toys so the little ones can have their space too.
We have supplied a couple of rods if you would like to try your luck at catching dinner and some beach toys to take down to the beach.
We have off street parking for your car and/or boat and don't forget the bikes! There's a bike rack out the side.
Things to do in and around Barwon Heads
Get energetic and pushbike the Bellarine peninsula or Great Ocean Road. Trust us, you will not be alone! You must break the ride though with multiple stops at the many cafes along the way.
Catch some waves on the local beaches or day trip to Toruay, JanJuc or Lorne. There is some great surf to be found and great facilities along the coast for surfers.
Fishing is fun in Barwon heads because you have so many options. Walk to the river and use the boardwalk to cast a line for Bream or walk to the beach on the river and try for Salmon or whiting. There is a jetty right in town that runs hot with salmon trout at different times of the day. Of course, if you have a boat you can travel upstream on the Barwon River or head for the River Mouth and out to sea.
Barwon heads has a lively Pub with great Parma night meals and live music during Summer.. There are many restaurants and coffee shops, pop-up ice-cream stores and naturally the best "Fish and Chips" on the coast are found right in the Main Street.
Golf is a must at the 13th Beach Golf course ranked 29 in Australia's top 100 golf courses. Not bad for a sleepy seaside town!
Barwon Heads starred as the "Seachange" town in the 90's and began a surge towards getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. As Barwon heads has tight growth boundaries it has retained that small town feel. Walk to the shops in the morning for a paper and milk and you will know what I mean.
There is a skate park, many playgrounds and safe bike tracks in the parks.
At low tide the rock pools provide loads of fun for kids and adults exploring the foreshore.
About the House.
Bedroom setup: Master bedroom- queen bed, ensuite Second bedroom- Trio bed Third bedroom- 2 bunks and trundle.
2 bathrooms, main bathroom with bath and shower, ensuite shower only. 2 Lavatories.
Kitchen. Gas hob and oven. Fridge/freezer Dishwasher. Microwave All the items a family needs to cook and create.
Backyard. Fully fenced with sandpit and shaded seating areas. Gazebo with tables and chairs for 10
No smoking in the house. There is an ashtray outside and please dispose of butts in the bin.
Pet friendly. Small dogs are allowed with consultation. No dogs allowed inside. A cleaning surcharge of $300 will be charged if this rule is not followed. There is a sheltered porch and chain where you can bring bedding.
Minimum stay. We generally accept stays of 3 nights or more. We will definitely consider 2 night stays however due to cleaning and associated costs we cannot accept bookings for single nights. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.
