Artisans on the hill is a beautiful place to stay. Views are amazing and the night sky was gorgeous. Peter and his wife are awesome hosts with quick responses. The house had special touches like food items for brekkie and the gallery is fantastic. Our family is already planning another trip back to Artisans on the hill. Thank you for your warm hospitality and kindness. Angelique.
Good layout for friends and family to be together in their own space. Great to be able to have the dogs there.Peter was very friendly and approachable.

It is meeting delightful people like this that make what we do so worthwhile.
Only a short stay this time but we are looking forward to hosting Tina and family again sometime.
Thank you for choosing to break your journey with us.

Location was so peaceful and owners delightful. Property is well appointed and great for larger groups. You can book individual rooms and share kitchen and lounge area with others staying there. For our stay it was just us staying using three of the five rooms and sole use of the central space.
We had a great time. Very relaxing and peaceful. The kids loved riding their bikes around and doing a workshop with Peter.
Peter and Christine a fabulous hosts
Comfortable accommodation. Bedrooms spotless and beds very comfy. Lovely outlook and surroundings. Enjoyed sitting on the veranda.
Very friendly hosts and enjoyed Peter showing us around his workshop and gallery.
We loved staying here with our two adult kids and partners. Privacy for each couple, huge comfortable community room with space to read in a comfy chair, sit out on the veranda for the view, gather around the breakfast table or all chip in for the kitchen prep. Loved the comfy touches like the beautiful quilts, artwork, stacked bookshelves. We came for a family event in Taree and Peter's hospitality made it so lovely
We had a wonderful stay at Artisans with three families with older children. Peter was excellent and check in was thorough. We were pleasantly surprised by some bread, milk, fruit and wine etc - a very nice touch. All the rooms were great with the number of bathrooms being a plus. The communal lounge, dining, balcony and kitchen areas were fabulous for us all to eat and chat. We enjoyed a visit to the workshop and gallery. And Peter let us have a late checkout so that we could enjoy brunch with family from nearby Taree. Thank you so much for making this a pleasant stay. We would recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the area.
Great location. Quiet and peaceful. Get away to unwind and relax. High location. Great view. It was an amazing experience. Enjoyed the stay. Peter is a great host. Artisan gallery and the workshop are added benefits.

A great place to stay in the Taree area
Very comfortable, very welcoming, a great set up for a number of people. The rooms are all large with very comfortable beds and plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen is huge and well set up. The "supplies" to start us off were very generous and welcomed. The coffee machine and pods greatly appreciated. The property was lovely and quiet, with koalas calling nearby. We enjoyed our experience.

Having a number of family in and around Taree, and having a little dog, we were looking for a place to stay during holidays, and we found this delight. It allowed us to have some additional family from out of town stay with us and be our base of operations. We had a great time together. A visit to the gallery and Peter's guided tour of the workshop were a highlight of our stay. It was a peaceful place to retreat and hearing neighbouring cows rather than the constant hum of traffic was a delight. We're starting to plan our next trip to the region and Artisans On The Hill is at the top of our list. Highly recommend. Very accommodating and beautiful place.
Excellent stay. A chance to have a family get together. Brilliant host who provided help on nearby walks and guided talks in his woodwork shed while showing us how to turn wood into beautiful artworks. Excellent gallery. This is a place you could park caravans in the carpark and use the huge kitchen and entertainment area to catch up on any event with accommodation for ten to thirteen people in five ensuites rooms. Excellent design for an house with lots of room for everyone. Thanks Peter and Catherine.
Had a great couple of days away at Mondrook. Our party consisted of three families and a dog. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Property could probably do with a few more utensils in the kitchen. We also had a small problem with some ants in the kitchen. Property was clean, but could do with a bit of a dusting for cobwebbs. Plenty of room though, and good setup,. Overall, I'd definitely recommend a visit, especially if travelling with a dog.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at Artisans Timothy.
Would be grateful if you could send me a message re what utensils were short so we can address that.
Not sure i f the cobwebs you refer to were inside or out. If inside, I will take that up with our cleaners, if out, we have not had the water available to pressure clean the outside as we normally would.

Have stayed at better
The beds were comfy and the linen and towels good quality. The place was a little grubby, crumbs in the toaster and the oven Needed a wipe as did The microwave And fridge. There was no cleaning products and the wash up cloth and Chun were used and dirty. We found cleaning products in a cupboard in the laundry that I think was supposed to be locked, I had to wipe down the sink and splash back before we used it. The hamper was a disappointment. As the bacon was in a container, obviously it had been handled. The cereals also were not in sealed boxes...they we’re decanted into containers. The peanut butter, vegimite, honey and margarine were in jars already used by previous
guests The lounges were grubby, some of the dining room chairs were very unstable. The outdoor furniture was full of spider webs and the table filthy. The outdoor bbq had meat and fat from previous guests left on it and we had to clean it to use it. There was no lockable door between the owners and the accomodation and the entrance door could not be locked. We actually had strangers walk in on us through the unlock able door. The owner Peter was pleasant and easy to deal with, and seems like a nice person.

Hmmm - our first 3 star review!
It is obvious from the comments that you are used to living in a sanitised, pristine environment.
I apologise if the cleaning was not up to your standard - my wife and I had been doing our best to keep up with linen and cleaning, despite some health issues.
We have now engaged professional cleaners and linen service.
I also apologise for overlooking the BBQ before your visit.
Not sure why you were so upset about having free fresh bacon and bulk cereal and supplies.
The bone coloured Moran Lounges were due for their annual steam clean, and this has since been done, along with the periodic tightening of the dining chairs.
If you had told me about the dining chairs during your stay it would have been rectified immediately.
The entrance door you mentioned can be locked and there is a key on each of the room keyrings. Each bedroom can also be individually locked.
There is a fire door between the guest accommodation and the owners residence which is locked when we have guests. We do not use the guest entrance to access owners residence.
Peter (originally from a farm in western NSW) and Christine (who grew up in Tasmania) are both passionate artisans. Peter's favorite is to create in wood, and Christine's is making pure silver jewellery from precious metal clay. We both enjoy teaching our skills in these and many other crafts at Artisans On The Hill. Should you wish to try your hand during your stay, the well equipped workshop and our teaching skills will ensure you will go home with some magnificent work you have created.
Why they chose this property
In creating Artisans On The Hill, we looked far and wide for the ideal location before settling on a 5 acre hilltop paddock near Taree in the magnificent Manning Valley, only around a 3 hour drive north of Sydney. We then set about designing and building our dream to create an unusual, comfortable, inspiring place for us and our guests to contemplate, create or just relax away from the pressures of everyday life. We also wanted a unique Gallery space to display and sell high quality Artisan craft. This now boasts pieces for sale from internationally revered Australian artisans.
What makes this property unique
Artisans On The hill is unique in that we have facilities on hand to cater to a wide variety of Artisan Crafts. We were able to achieve this because of the space the property has, the lack of close neighbors but the close proximity to major towns and natural attractions.
