Amazing house just outside Dubbo!
We stayed in the 'big house' which was amazing! Suzi and Tim have done a great job in renovating the house and it was a real treat to experience it. Walking around looking at tim's paintings was an added bonus. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax and in close proximity to Dubbo.

Thank you so much for your review...if you ever want to visit again you will all be welcome!
It was lovely to arrive at Peppercorn Cottage after a long drive and work day. We were greeted with chocolates, sour dough, cookies and essentials such as fresh local milk, butter and tea, coffee, shampoo/ conditioner. It was nice to walk around to the local Wongarbon Tavern and be given a locals welcome. Thanks for making our first weekend near Dubbo comfortable and welcoming

Bree it was a pleasure to host you, David and the family. So glad you all enjoyed your stay and we will welcome you all back in a heart beat :)
Tucked away off the main road between Dubbo and Geurie, with Wellington Caves just a stone's throw away in the other direction, this is a great location to while away a few peaceful days - or longer - in this beautiful part of NSW. Tim and Suzie couldn't be more friendly and the cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Air conditioning is a great addition, the wet room a fabulous modern touch and the traditional cottage garden just delightful. Wonderful that such a well presented property is also dog-friendly! Don't miss a chance to stay here.

Gorgeous property well thought lovely owners
We arrived at Peppeercorn Cortage around 9:45pm after driving up from Melbourne with our 2 dogs. We were greeted with a smile from Tim who happily showed us around and let our dogs run around the backyard.
Tim and Suzie are both so wonderful, friendly, courteous, professional and helpful. They truly understand and take the time to make their visitors welcome.
When we left the next morning, Suzie ever so kindly offered us a ‘coffee for the road,’ before we headed on our next journey to Brisbane.
Highly recommend this gorgeous property with gorgeous people who really care.
Thank you Suzie and Tim from Lorraine & Scott and the pups! :-)

So glad you enjoyed the cottage and our village; yes its great being close to Dubbo but not in town :) feel welcome to book again
Our family of 4 and 2 small dogs were very comfortable at peppercorn cottage. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome and quick tour from Tim. Suzie had popped the heater on so the cottage was warm and cosy from the moment we stepped in! The courtyard was great for our dogs and the cottage provided everything we needed during our short stay. The breakfast provisions were delicious and greatly appreciated. We enjoyed strolling around the village at sunset. Thank you for a delightful stay!

Thank you for your wonderful review. Please come back anytime :)
The hosts were delightful and friendly. The cottage was clean and well resourced. We used the cottage as a jump off point for the Dubbo Zoo and it worked so well. We took our puppy with us and it was a wonderful dog friendly space, with a fully enclosed safe yard. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to booking again.

Hi Ben, thanks for your review...we do pride ourselves on being dog friendly.
Welcome back anytime.
Quiet location about 10-15mins out of Dubbo. Recommend The Ploughman's Rest Tavern, a short walk away, for meals. It's not open every night, however, the cottage is well set up for cooking & bbq provided. Host provides breakfast and a well-stocked kitchen.

A great place to spend quality time if you are wanting to stay in and self-cater. So many lovely inclusions. Loved the view out to the garden from the living area. Such a lovely quiet spot also. We were both really impressed and the beds were really comfortable.

Thank Susan for choosing Peppercorn Cottage 2831 for your recent trip to central NSW. We enjoyed hosting you & welcome you your Mum & dog back in the future...best wishes Suzie & Tim
Neighbourhood delightful. Location was our mistake: looking for handy to Western Plains Zoo, and confused ourselves with the map. Charming host, and the recommended local pub served a good meal for our last evening.

About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Gratton
Artist Tim Gratton with his wife Suzie Gratton have created this country cottage that offers a retreat from city life. They did the tree change back in 2010 and love country life. Tim paints, teaches and sells his art in their gallery; he accepts commissions. Suzie is the manager who loves being busy with family friends or working with Tim in the gallery as well as the post office in the village.
Why they chose this property
The cottage is very comfortable for a single person, a couple - up to 5 people is great. There is a secure landscaped garden with a bbq oven. If you do want to do a load of washing there is a machine, clothes dryer or a line in the garden. The cottage is equiped with an iron and board. You can take a walk around the village or travel nearby to enjoy the various places of interest all within your reach. To fully enjoy your visit we suggest you consider a minimum two nights stay however we appreciate that you may only be available to book a single night booking.
What makes this property unique
This is a pretty unique building located in a 'fetlers' village minutes away from Dubbo. The cottage dates back to late 19th century and has some original features. The living area opens out into the pretty courtyard garden where you can sit and enjoy the serenity of this location. You can also use the bbq. There are outside lights and hurricane candle lamps for you to use. This cottage offers you the opportunity to get away and enjoy what rural life offers. We are not far away and we are both happy to answer ask.
