Sharlynn by the River is set on 1.5 hectares of rain-forest and gardens only 5 minutes drive from Malanda and very close to the crater lakes of Eacham and Barrine. You are only 7 minutes drive to the village of Yungaburra.

Stay at Sharlynn and discover all that the Atherton Tablelands has to offer in great landscapes and many attractions. Your kitchen is stocked daily with fresh tableland local products you can use to prepare your sumptuous breakfast.

Your boutique self-contained cabin hugs the edge of the rain-forest and overlooks the North Johnstone River.

The cottage is suitable for one couple and has an additional king single trundle bed suitable for two guests.
Sharlynn by the River is the best value accommodation of its type on the Atherton Tablelands.

Sharlynn by the River at Malanda is about 70 minutes drive from Cairns and the most direct route is via the Gillies Range Road. Malanda is about 780 meters above sea level and enjoys a cool moist climate in a rain-forest setting.

Nearby you can visit the crater lakes, Lake Eacham and Lake Barrine and Malanda Falls is 5 minutes away. Then a short drive to the waterfall circuit including Millaa Millaa, Mungali and Zillie Falls and the Curtain Fig Tree 7 minutes away near Yungaburra. A beautiful, quite retreat. Great to relax and refuel. Close to Lake Eacham and Barrine, Malanda and Yungaburra. Excellent friendly hosts with a great eye for details. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely stunning property. Discovered thoughtful touches everywhere. By far the most comfortable bed EVER! Wonderful, generous owners who went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating.. All in all, we could not have been more impressed and are already planning a return trip. Thank you so much!

River Hideaway

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely two night sojourn at this hideaway over the Johnstone River. Our hosts, John and Pam, showed us the ropes and made us very welcome and their border collie Charlie, sensing that we are dog lovers accompanied us on walks and sat with us on the deck for evening drinks. The studio apartment is very comfortable and well stocked for the interested cooks. Our privacy was ensured but we were also able to interact with our hosts if we wished. I'd happily recommend this accomodation to interested parties.
