Perfect place for few days away

Nice house, nice decoration, lots of games for the children, beautiful view and close to nature. Perfect swimming pool for the children. Very good value for money. I highly recommend a stay here.

Had a lovely stay here over Christmas. We were made to feel very welcome. Beautifully presented with music playing and very clean. Great outdoor area and pool and so quiet. Highly recommended.

Beautiful home, gorgeous pool, amazing views. We all enjoyed it. Kids didnt want to go anywhere except in the pool or watch n play on the t.v. Close to everything, iga is down the road and beaches soo close too. Would definitely come back.

Well equipped Property with awesome views

Property is perched high on top of a hill which gives awesome views of Umina/Ettalong area. Everything, including supermarkets, cafes and the beach, was a close drive from the property. The property was well equipped with full kitchen, dishwasher, clothes washer, toys for the kids, Netflix and PlayStation. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit the area.

Beautiful house with amazing views, we enjoyed our 5 night stay very much, the pool was lovely. My grandkids loved all the toys and trampoline. Our only complaint would be the back sliding door sticks and is hard to open and close.

Great getaway

Great property with plenty of room. Arrived to hear chill-out music playing inside which was very welcoming. Cooking utensils could be replaced as some of them pretty old looking and falling apart. But it was a pleasant experience cooking in the kitchen with that beautiful view. My son who is 9 loved the tech games, and our dog loved the walks around the neighbourhood.

Great short break

We enjoyed our last minute short break. The property had everything we needed to unwind and even turned on some beautiful Weather. The kids enjoyed the pool and the parents enjoyed the view! Close enough to the beach for a refreshing dip. Thanks for having us!

Lovely spot.

Our family really enjoyed our stay including Duncan our chihuahua. The place has a really relaxing vibe and the pool was great. In the evenings we were visited by the local kookaburras and if you go out the back to the nature reserve you can feed bush turkeys and wallabies.

Beautiful property!!

My husband and I drove up from Melbourne with our 4 year old and 6 month old to this beautiful property and we were not disappointed. The property is beautiful- particularly the outside area. The Kookaburras visiting each day on the deck was a highlight but be warned they'll pinch your food the cheeky things!! The house was a great size and well equipped especially for kids. Communication with Tom was great, he was available when we needed him and prompt with replying. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The entire process from booking to check out was fantastic. Paradise Getaway

Beautiful home sitting on top of the hill with an amazing view. Backyard is paradise from the pool, decking overlooking the spectacular view of umina to the native bush lands. The home had every we needed for our stay. Our 5 kids enjoyed themselves and had lots to do, from board games to books and even a playstation. The pool was a hit with hubby and kids, rain or shine they went in. Our hosts Alice and Tom were friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We definitely would stay in their holiday home again.

Amazing sunrise

Had a great time relaxing with family. Catching the sunrise in the morning from the decking is a treat in its self. My 2 year old was sad that she couldn’t go swimming. In her words, daddy it’s too cold. Will definitely book again, when it’s warmer, so she can get to have a swim.

Great getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated home. Both the pool area and upstairs deck are incredibly relaxing and picturesque, even the wildlife agree with kookaburras visiting daily. Most importantly for us we were able to bring our furry family member along.

With over a decade of hosting experience under our belt, we are a young family from England and Scotland (yes they can get along, sometimes), with two little cheeky Aussie kids.

I am passionate about interiors, furniture and sustainability. I have a upcycle furniture side-hustle which I run in the limited spare time my kids allow. Tom will likely be your main point of contact and has been doing short term rentals for many years. He's lovely, so I hear!

We found this place six years ago, and couldn't believe our luck. We take great pride in sharing it with visitors, it's been a very rewarding labour of love. Enjoy!

Why they chose this property

The beauty of living on the coast, over the big city, is that the roads are quiet and you can park for free at the beach, or anywhere really.

But we are perched on top of a very steep hill, so you will need a car get into town or to get one of the many beaches around us, most about five minutes away.
