Lusso KV (Italian for luxury) is a boutique holiday home in the heart of the King Valley.
It offers accommodation for eight people in a two-storey lofted home, with a sleek industrial style and historical tobacco kiln entrance as a feature associated with the beautiful King Valley.
The property is fully self-contained, with three king size bedrooms, a fold-up sofa bed downstairs with an ensuite to the master bedroom, whilst the remaining two upstairs bedrooms (option of two king singles or king bed in one bedroom) feature a large bathroom. There is a polished concrete floor throughout and upon entry, which looks directly to the open doubled sided gas fireplace.
The striking chimney made from recycled red bricks can be viewed all the way throughout the property, leading onto the huge alfresco area which includes a barbecue with outdoor seating.
The open plan concept is complemented by the ambience of natural light, a result of the modern architectural design. A welcoming setting for those seeking accommodation for weddings in the area, short-breaks or an extended visit with friends and family.
Lastly, the location is right in the heart of the Whitfield, Victoria with ample parking, walking distance to the local pub and several wineries.

Well appointed property in a great location. Very relaxing.
From the moment of arrival, easy to relax and take in everything that this wonderful region provides, pity we had to cut our visit short due to the bushfire activity. We hope that all the King Valley residents and properties are safe from the bushfires.

Boxing Day plus 4 days
Arrived approx 6.30pm Boxing Day, after a long hot drive to find the house in a mess - no linen on any beds, rubbish left on kitchen counter and piles dirty linen on the floor and runny gunk left in oven trays etc. Notified owner who told us to go to the pub while they call the cleaner! Went to the pub for a meal arrived back at 8.30 and the cleaner was still cleaning! So we had to drive around again and arrived back at 9.30 passing the cleaner on the road back. No milk! But tea bags, instant and coffee capsules were available. We purchased milk when the shop opened the next day! Other than that disappointing start, the house is nice and spacious with good air conditioning, well stocked kitchen with pots/pans glasses, plates, cups etc.
So, BYO: Milk and cooking supplies as they rely on the previous guests to leave behind essentials for the next guest. You will need your own oil, seasonings, spreads cling wrap, foil, etc.
Two Bathrooms are spacoius. You are allocated one towel per person, so if you stay for a week, bring a spare towel or two or wash and dry your towel, using the laundry facilities available.
The shower upstairs had water backing up because of build-up of hair clogging the drain and pink mold around the drain lip. Also only 2.5 rolls of toilet paper for 4 adults over several days. So byo TP too - or purchase more from the shop next door at a premium price per roll.
There are 3 bedrooms not 4. The 4th being a sofa bed located in the open kitchen/dinning space. There are no coverings on the floor to ceiling glass doors in the kitchen/dining area looking out to the back deck, so there will be no privacy for occupants of the '4th bedroom' space
The location of this property is excellent, not far from varoius wineries, and local shops. The area was quiet and peaceful without loud traffic noise. The free wifi was slow as - use your phone to stream shows to avoid constant buffering.
This would be a good place for a group of people to stay and enjoy time away benefiting from the well thought out floor plan which facilities communication and interaction between people, from kitchen to dining to lounge areas.
Generally we loved the design and layout of this house and its amenities. The beds were comfortable, the furniture modern and stylish and also comfortable- and on the whole, it was a good space which fellow travellers would enjoy as it is a big step up from the average holiday rental.
