We arrived to the smell of freshly baked bread which was lovely. The cottage was charming and it was nice to know about its history from a photograph of the original owners and their family.Peaceful and very comfortable.

Absolutely wonderful. This historic cottage is the most fantastic place to stay and has been restored and decorated to an exceptional standard. Truly a highlight of our 2 week road trip. Would have booked for longer had I known how great it is. Fabulous host who made sure we had everything we needed. Awesome breakfast and homemade baked bread on arrival. Such a restful comfortable stay. This is a must stay for anyone visiting the region.

What can we say? This place is bigger than we expected, situated right across a very peaceful lake with a lovely garden. You walk in to the smell of freshly baked bread. We loved being able to make our own breakfast with food provided, as well as the delicious juice, coffee, and fruit. Check in and check out were effortless and Denice was in touch to ensure all was going well. We were sad to leave after just one day.

Great spot!

Beautiful home with fantastic amenities. Freshly baked bread and bacon & eggs for breakfast, delicious. Great spot right by the river and short walk to town. We especially enjoyed the spa bath and fishing rods that we used for a quick fish trip right out the front on the Hunter Park platform.

Homely Stay

We had a lovely stay - all the creature comforts, lots of personal touches and beautifully warm upon arrival. Breakfast provisions were generous and delicious. We had seen mixed reviews about Freshies cafe but enjoyed a really delicious meal there. Overall a great stay.
