Catfish Derby

As always the stay was amazing and this time the weather matched it. The kids love the swing in the front tree and the older ladies love the shaded porch. The AC was clutch and kept the house nice and cool for when we got back from fishing the river. Highly recommend staying at the ranch if you get a chance!

had the whole family in the area for a wedding. wife and our two boys, my parents, an aunt and my uncle. property is very secluded and quiet. our boys (4 and 5yrs) enjoyed throwing horse shoes, and the basement, while unfinished and a little rough, did have a large play area for them with some toys and activities.

Okay, this property is not for all. If you do not enjoy wildlife, super small town friendly folk, and rural views... best look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for the cutest house and area ever for family and friends with children of all ages to get together and make wonderful memories, Barber Ranch is the place. Consider it a camping trip with first class accommodations. It was comforting to know the general store stocked a variety of basic things (and Walmart was 30 minutes away) for forgotten supplies. We absolutely loved our down time on the deck, hiking, exploring the Snake River and watching the constant stream of wildlife and domestic animals. We will definitely be coming back.

The house was clean, comfortable furniture, cozy beds. Kitchen had everything we needed, pots, pans, foil, etc. Manager is very friendly and a great communicator. Make sure you research the town of Huntington itself before you go- I wish I had. The property itself and the house are great.

We had a wonderful time and the manager had everything ready for us when we arrived. The ranch is plenty big enough for a large group with lots of room to spread out. We we definitely try to come for another vacation there.
