Had a great weekend fishing trip with friends, very comfortable and relaxing after outings. Plenty of room for the boat. Owner was very quick to respond to questions and had some great fishing spots to share.

This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed here & was just as good as the first. Safe storage area for our boat when we went to store and out to eat. Owner is across the street & there if there are any issues. Very clean. We will be staying here again. Thanks
Clean and convenient place to stay while fishing out of Bayou Dularge. Friendly owners

Lots of room, clean, and nice hosts!
We rented the 3 bedroom side of the house for two nights in January. The temperature outside was cold, but the heater was working well inside the house. There are three bedrooms that can hold a large group of people comfortably. There is also a full size kitchen. The owners were friendly and we even got a small snack that was VERY tasty one morning to take out fishing. We should have probably asked them to cook us a full meal! I highly recommend this unit for groups of people looking to experience south Louisiana.

Great location, great hosts!
We rented this for a three day fishing trip. It's literally a five-minute drive to the Falgout Canal Marina where we launched our boat. The apartment is comfortable, the outside deck nice and roomy. The charcoal bbq grill got a good workout since we grilled fish every night. (You'll need to bring your own charcoal.) This is in no way a "fancy" place but the kitchen, by example, is roomy and adequately appointed and we cooked dinner every night (including a big pot of gumbo.) The bathroom was fine and most, important, the shower has good pressure and ample hot water. There were plenty of towels for all of us. It was quite a warm weekend during our stay and the central AC kept us nice and cool in the evening. Charles and Anne couldn't be nicer, delivering a big pile of chocolate-chip cookies upon our arrival. Considering comfort, location and price, I rate this as a bargain and would return.

We enjoy all of our guests but the gathering of families is perhaps our favorite. We're still new to all of this and are working to bump up fancy a notch over the coming months. We look forward to new changes and updates as the months go by.

Perfect little cottage for fishing families!
Mr. Charles and Ms. Anne were wonderful hosts! The cottage was clean and comfortable (including the pull-out sofa bed), very convenient to the boat launch, and only about 15 minutes from a cozy little restaurant in Houma called 1921 Seafood, where we enjoyed an outstanding boiled shrimp and crawfish dinner. We will definitely be back to enjoy the peaceful and relaxing property, which had a large swing, a cowboy BBQ grill that would function equally well as a fire pit, and enough covered patio space to enjoy in any weather.

About the host
Hosted by Charles Gaiennie
Anne and I have been married for some 35 years and are the parents of three beautiful now adult children, all married and producing beautiful grandchildren. We love each other, our Lord and this land and we love to share what we have freely with others. Anne is an authentic Cajun and brings the warmth and hospitality of the Cajun culture to our guests. She's also an amazing cook so always ask if she'll do one of her famous gumbos during your stay.
Why they chose this property
Lytle Farms is our home and has been in our family for three generations and over 40 years. It is the boyhood home of Charles where he grew up in the paradise wetlands of the region. The land was originally purchased by Charles' grandfather, Donald Luke Lytle Sr for whom the farm is named.
We've built our dream home here - a 900 sf cypress cottage - where we enjoy the land as much as our guests. Welcome.
What makes this property unique
There are few places where you can enjoy the peace, tranquility and access to nature than Lytle Farms. Our access to Louisiana's expansive wetlands and waterways is unprecedented and your full use of our 70 acres is just part of the experience.
